So I'm going to be very straight forward about this. And I'm not going to hold anything back. Nothing but raw honesty here.
*deep breath*
So when I started this project at the beginning of the month, every thread I made about it was trending. Every single one.
Lots of support, and tons of replies.
The day I released it, (and subsequently since) I've received a storm of negativity.
Also, not a single one of the *actual* stories has trended, or the updates.
That being said, and *not* being the reason why it is ending, I'm going to explain why it will no longer continue on the BungieNet official forums.
This community is a toxic cancerous troll.
Not everyone, mind you. But the vast majority.
The amount of hate mail I have been getting.
The amount of hate posts on my new threads.
The lack of support (in underwhelming numbers compared to before) is just awful.
I don't have a desire to write anything more.
I don't have a want to make content for these forums.
I don't feel a need to justify my actions, even though I'm making this thread.
Now I'm not heartless, I will be continuing the project, just not here.
Some of you messaged me after Chapter Two did not come out.
I hope my replies satisfied you. I'm sorry otherwise.
So the band-aid is torn off. That's it.
Simply put.
This community is hate.
This community is toxic.
This community is cancer.
This community fornicates with trolls.
If I continue writing, it will be somewhere else.
Not here, probably not reddit either.
Somewhere where the site is dedicated to projects like this.
Maybe at that time I'll share a link to the new area, but till then, it's done.
I hope the graphic gif at the header suffices to display my point that I'm 100% done with it.
Can't wait till next week.
I'm taking off these chains and I'm going to eat trolls for breakfast.
Yours with sadness,
~Chelsea~

I cant tell if this post is serious or not. If one is writing for self, positive or negative external feedback is mostly irrelevant. If one writes for the art of it, and thus shares it with others putting it on display, be ready for criticism. If one writes for success, by whatever metric, you had best understand which is your target market. Successful writers figure this out early on and EVEN knowing it, eat unhappy words in the pursuit of the craft/product they wish to share.
