Is something wrong with the game?

I got upgraded to level 34 about a week ago, but no matter how many patrol missions, how many Taken forces/Zealot kills, Spider tank kills, I'm still a 34 with no progress at all. Is this happening to everyone? Or is it a glitch in the game/error disc? I'm a level 34 titan. Thanks.
