Good Luck Pete Parsons - We Want You To Succeed
Title says it all. I'm sure you will never read this, but good luck. We all want better things for Destiny. I'm sure you will be able to find a business model that works for both sides. As you know, we will pay for content. We will buy it often even. We just want that content to be worth the price.
We also enjoy clear and truthful communication. Seems obvious, but we have certainly not been getting that from Bungie since even before the release of Destiny.
This is my favorite game of all time, despite its flaws. I am looking forward to seeing its success under new leadership.

7 RepliesKeep in mind this new CEO is the dude who really made the Halo series so good. He is a phenomenal person and I really hope he can pull a 180. With the constant matchmaking updates and communication within the last 24 hours, I'd say he's whipping Bungie back into shape.

6 RepliesThis is absolutely just a PR move to make people think they are "shaking things up". Next he'll say he's sorry there won't be any more substantial content for year 2, but they've learned so much and are making sweeping changes for Destiny 2. Once it comes out and people have already bought it, then we'll get the same excuses.

I love this game too. It has so much potential. But I have been burned by destiny so many times. It's almost like an abusive relationship.. You lie to me... I come back for more and give you my money. Do something to make things right for your players. Taken king was a start... But still no where near what we were told to expect. Lol destiny is like a man talking up his ding dong then pulls it out and its like 2 in. Teases man...

Until they stop the dreadful anti-consumer practices, stop it with the mediocre/low on content releases and have a solid vision/depth (earn/captivate), it will get even worse. A drastic change is needed. So will they flip this around or will they find more ways to piss everyone off ??

1 ReplyI remember those days. When Halo first came out. It was the biggest hype in gaming history. My cousin was on it. It was the game always talked about in so many positive ways. I want Destiny to have that. It can be way better than what it is now. Destiny deserves to be better, bigger, and fun

3 RepliesI'm with you, BUT remember GREAT content takes time...a LOT of time. We honestly can't expect new content all the time. It sucks...but it's the truth. GREAT movies take years to get made...and they are two hours long. Some people have THOUSANDS of hours on Destiny and complain about lack of content...like...what?? Anyway, I'm excited about the change. Hoping for the best. Story development is what I'd like to see more of.

9 RepliesI don't think you guys are getting that he was already the Chief Operating Officer at Bungie. He directly oversaw all the crap we went though for the past 4 months. This is absolutely not fresh blood with a new perspective. That said, hopefully he takes this as a chance for a reset of priorities and raising the integrity bar.

What Bungie and Activision don't understand is that videogames are subject to capitalism, and capitalism is a system where people who balance quality, quantity, and price the best earn the most money. You can cut costs by making a lower quality game, but there will be other companies that don't do that. Those companies will end up stealing customers from the one who fails to give what the consumer wants. It's why Bethesda rakes in the money while Bungie is struggling to keep its playerbase. Hopefully this new CEO will turn the image of the company and its game around, which would not only be good for us, the consumers, but for the company as well.

Agreed! I've been pessimistic about Destiny this year, and not without cause. I'd like to reverse that position and be excited about its future again. If Pete can really pay attention to what the fans have asked for and work to get it out there for us, I think he has a shot at saving the game and his company!
