Any other solos out there actually enjoying iron rift
So I booted up destiny an hopped on into what I thought was gonna be lag spawn kill fest 2016. And other then a few rough matches I've been blown away by how much fun I've been having. Haven't been running a good kd, but I've been just annoying the hell out of the other team with shade step and my iron wreath. And it's been a blast. So color me surprised bungie good job this time

When I get put in a team where everyone understands the objective and tactics of playing rift, then it's great Unfortunately, I've had a LOT of games where I've been teamed up with people who clearly think they're still playing clash, and almost always when that happens we're up against a full fireteam Honestly, I don't see how it's so hard to have matchmaking put a focus on pairing teams against each other and keep the solo players up against other solos for a slightly fairer playing field

Well, I can say I'm having way more fun w. This IB than I have w. Any of the others. But I haven't stepped into it with anything besides a full Fireteam. I've had 3 IB sessions, of around 10 games minimum each, & I've only lost a handful. Been using PDX-41 for most games, MIDA on maps where I find myself having a lot of engagements at long range. Like Black Shield & Pantheon, for example. I'm glad to see that there's some people having success playing solo. The reason I haven't played solo is because I figured it'd be a nightmare! I thought Rift would be the worst by far out of the 3 game modes for solo play. It's good though. All about map control. As long as your team knows that staying out of your spawn is essential, you'll do fairly well. My teams strategy is just lock down the center. Period. We don't try to spawn-trap or anything, we just keep really good control over where the Spark spawns. We don't push up, we don't stay back. Right in the middle. Once supers are charged up, we have someone pick up the Spark, & have a Stormtrance clear the way. It's proved to be very successful.

Whatever the update did yesterday had made my experience WAY better. I had 1 win in 7 matches before and 3 wins out of 5 since.

No. I just had almost 8000 points and still fuсking lost. Only one on my team who even touched the spark

I had really good luck last night. 5 or so games won most of them and got top score twice. I am a VERY average PVP player (well likely slightly below average) so all in all I did pretty well.

Finally found a load out I was happy with and now I'm doing fine. Struggled for a while but I'm treating it like clash now, no point solo players trying to run the spark.

I was yesterday but today, I've been shooting people and rounds are not registering and after I die they walk away and then die from me.. if freaking pissing me off. I got off already I was sick of it.

Edited by kenstyles00: 1/29/2016 5:35:53 AMMy kd is pretty equal. Run the spark and youll always be in top 3. Im 3/4 of the way to level 5 reputation. The drops are garbage for anyone above 300. Playstation class item? What is that? I haven't gotten any even though it says they are available after 3. This will be my last participation in ib unless drops get better next time. I wanted to add that the matchmaking has gotten better though so good job there. Hit lvl 5 and got 318 sidearm and 310 shell.

I haven't had a problem & I am going to get all toons to 5 in the same amount of time. The most medallions I have had is 3.

Yep. It's been a good experience so far. Not sure how much is rift and how much is matchmaking though.

Not to bad, I wasn't very excited when I read it was gonna be rift. I suck at PvP but have been in the top 3 more than not this IB.

I've had more luck with matchmaking as a solo player than in a team

For the most part, its not going to bad. I've had no lag issues in my matches, but a heavy increase of being put in teams with non-moving players.

1 ReplySame here, I have had so many close games that have ended awesome, I am very much enjoying this one right now. I have an awful Kd because I just sprint around throwing nades and smoke bombs and act as a distraction, I like this one because you can have fun with this game type without having to get a lot of kills
