Fix 1000ys(XboxOne help)
So I've found a way to call out and prove how OP the 1000ys, at least with the help of fellow XboxOne players.
"1: Xbox record that(or double tap Home button, "X" button once)." 2: then go into Upload Studio, Edit film, save film to OneDrive 3: then go ahead share the post through URL in here.
I just thought of it today but as I die by that weapon in all gametypes by oneshot hits, I'm getting more and more pissed off about it because it's a sniper that can oneshot instakill in a distance of long-range to basically 2 feet away. And I'm sorry but I'd rather just have fusion rifles and shotguns than deal with that crap. So anyone willing to go the extra mile, join me in posting recordings in this post. First to probably come tomorrow as I run whatever Daily Bungie gives us tomorrow. Until then, game on.
(And by one shot I mean even bodyshots, I'm not stupid, I understand snipers oneshot headshot, but they shouldn't be able to oneshot bodyshot kill)

I think ALL aim assist should be tuned down and set level for all of the snipers....I mean....Defiance of Yasmin has more aim assist than the 1000YS.....I think aim assist on snipers in general should be much less forgiving.....just my opinion....Sx3r...out... I 90% of the time use snipers.....check me on Destiny Tracker if you want....and even I can admit the aim assist is out of tune.....I've made some shots that should have never happened lol.

Also, biased poll is biased. Seriously, forcing people to chose between "It's OP" or "My opinion doesn't matter because I use it" just makes you look stupid.

If you're getting killed by a bodyshot, you've already been damaged because1k doesn't kill to the body otherwise.

I think abetted solution to this would be reduce the amount of special ammo gained for the sniper. I think they are being properly used but they may just be [i]overused[/i].

If you have a low armor build that's on you. Also as far as snipers go, 1000 yard is the best since its the only high impact sniper besides the erirne and black Spindle. The only reason snipers seem over powered is because all other special weapons have been nerfed to oblivion (shotguns can have am argument over this topic).

The thousand yard does 168 to the body. If you're getting one shot you either had already taken damage or a defender titan is boosting it with weapons of light. And look at your atrocious statistics, I think you just suck at the game dude.

Please stop confusing overused and easily acquired to overpowered. I've never been able to kill anyone with one body shot unless they are already have some of their health gone, health not shields. Also, that's one biased post you have here chump.

1 ReplyNot being a dick but it's a sniper rifle it's meant to be one shot in the head it can't one shot you in the chest or below I know as I use one and I can't one shot some shot below the head, why do you want it to be nerf for if bungie does nerf the 1000YS I'm just gonna stop playing destiny as the always nerf the weapon that people can't use as they suck at it sorry for being a dick guys but it'd the truth if your bad with that weapons you get kill by why not try the weapon out, Like I use to suck so bad at snipeing and using hand cannon now I'm good because I practice, PLEASE BUNGLE STOP NERFING WEAPONS

Don't think it's the 1KYS itself, its just everyone is using it, so it just feels OP. Snipers are in a good place at the moment, 1k is easy to get and can take out revives, plus shotties aren't as good as they were before so everyone is trying something else. I'm not a sniper myself, i've tried and just can't do it.

5 RepliesAs somebody who uses a Thousand Yard stare, i would like to point out that it can not and will not one-shot even the most scrawny hunter, not even the Black spindle can accomplish that. And if somebody manages to kill you with a sniper at close range, when the zoom of the gun makes it near impossible to aim, then good on them. So next time you try to call a gun overpowered, please try to actually use the gun first, especially since it is useful for the Raid in PVE as well.

5 RepliesOk, The 1 Thousand Yard Stare is not overpowered. It seems overpowered as many more people have started sniping since TTK and the nerfs to blink and shotgunning. Since it is the only 17/31 sniper with good scope, everyone uses it. Now if everyone is using it, that means you'll be killed by it a lot. Which then leads you to believe it is overpowered. Just stay out of sight lines and you'll be fine, and if you get close range quick scoped or no scoped, bad luck. Not sure if you think this is true, but aim assist on secondary weapons does not bend bullets as it does on primaries, it simply slows down the reticule when it is aimed at an enemies head/body. Ok?

The only difference and why it is widely used is because it can res snipe. And the issue isn't aim assist. The issue is being able to shoot accurately while being blasted in the head.
