Yes! guys this is good! Harold Ryan was a dick! he didnt give a shit of the original bungie roots just money!
HE WAS THE ONE WHO SUGGESTED FIRING and FIRED OUR BELOVED MARTY O'DONNEL THIS IS A VICTORY! Just like the last CEO of Xbox was dumb af and wanted TV, TV and more TV and kinect, and MONEY ONLY this new one is all GAMES GAMES GAMES!
the new CEO is better the old one only cared for MONEY from DLC and Microtransactions!
remember Marty
remember Joe Staten
remember the few the originals, the ones with heart

CEO's are supposed to care about money only, that's what they are hired for.
-
All pete needed to say was "we're going to talk to you guys about everything that goes on at bungo from now on." and i would have came running back to bungie with open arms
-
Wow! Great! So we can have Joe's story to blow our minds along with Marty's music that leaves us speechless and in awe. oh wait... Lol, JK wish the guy luck, playing another game right now and I feel impaired, Destiny has best weapon handling hands down.
-
Hmm,i'm not to sure this so called new CEO is the answer to destiny's problems. He was already a bungie employee when he was promoted so obviously the guy is aligned with the current state of the game. I think somebody completely new and unaffiliated with bungie would have been better. But I hope that I am proven wrong. Destiny needs change right now more than anything else.
-
10 bucks says he'll be worse.
-
Hopefully destiny 2 would be better
-
The only thing the OP is doing is acting like a complete ignorant cock. Ryan has been with Bungie since 2000. Parsons has been with the company since 2002 and has been the Chief of Operations. If you think for one tick that anything is going to suddenly improve overnight, there's an aneurysm about to rupture in your head. Seek help. For all we know, Ryan just decided to retire and is laughing his rich corporate ass off.

I wish I could go to the alternate dimension where Staten's story wasn't scrapped, Marty wasn't fired and this half assed cash grab wasn't hastily pushed out. I bet it would have been as revolutionary as halo, but instead we got cut content and micro transactions. Thanks bungovision

Edited by Joseph888s: 1/28/2016 7:58:59 AMNow all we need is joe back... oh wait I'm right here.
-
IIRC Harold Ryan didn't suggest firing Marty. That came from Activision after Marty's conduct regarding the trailer music. Harold Ryan was just too much of a cuck to stand up for his friend.
-
Too bad even if he is good for gaming and Destiny we will not see anything new for years. Maybe Destiny 2 will be the old Destiny game that got trashed and gutted.
-
So if this new CEO was here when destiny launched, we would have gotten a full game at launch with all dlc content on disc plus a good original story. Damn. Too late :/
-
Bungie have had a godawful week but full credit to them in the last few days for taking steps: - switching off SBMM for IB as a precursor to the wider Crucible - sacking the CEO Bungie having poor communication and the lack of a clear Year 2 plan are things a CEO should be held accountable for. Dismissal was the right move. Things won't change overnight but this shows us that Activision isn't happy with the state of the game and wants changes made. A new CEO will want to make an impression and will 100% be mandated with getting the community into a happier place. Fingers crossed
-
If Bungie magically starts talking to us more, and gives us some freakin PvE content, we'll know why.
-
Alright. This is interesting........
-
Now, how should Herald pay for his gluttony?
-
Hopefully they do something about the clueless testing team that ignores the obvious or thousands of inputs from player feedback
-
You don't know anything.
-
Wasn't Marty the music guy who got all butthurt when his boss wanted to use different music for an ad?
-
You know, we could be mature, say you did good Harold. Think what we want, and go about our business. But no, you've the loud annoying asshole to kick a man while he's down. If you're over 12 years old you should be ashamed. Grow up.
-
Why are you using quotation marks if you can't quote things properly?
-
It honestly looks like Bungie is being held by a string. ~TheGreatNike

"To the players of Destiny, I want you to know that my number one priority, and Bungie’s, is and always has been to deliver great games that we can all share together. I believe that Destiny is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also believe you have yet to see our studio’s best work. My new role here at the studio will be entirely focused on fulfilling that promise." Said every new CEO ever
-
Hopefully the next dlc and or Destiny 2 will get put into over drive :)
-
More surprised that I had to hear about this from a side article on the front page rather than a main news article on the homepage. And not even an elaboration. You'd think if this was a tactic to reverse how people are viewing Bungie right now, that they'd start with being open about it a little more to nix one of their two biggest flaws right out of the box.

He actualy did step down though he didn't even quit he appointed his position. Please become literate in business affairs.
