At best what can we expect, a turnaround for the better in the game in what...a year? No changes will be immediate or felt for a long time sadly.

Hmmm first, thanks for the link. Looks like an old article, but very cool. Second, always sad when a company has to do some shakeups. Being a part of corporate 'murica, I doubt this is the last. I think a change was needed, but still sad when things like this happen. It definitely seems like there has been a division in Bungie,, half the team doesn't seem to know what the other half is doing thanks to a culture of "closely guarded secrets." That has to change, and it has to be priority #1. If Deej and Cozmo are to be our community liaison managers, they HAVE to know the playbook. If someone is going to be printing articles on a 40% nerf, they HAVE to know the actual mathematical formula. No employee should be finding out that micro transactions are going to happen by reading it from a Kotaku article. And certainly, if a major change like PVP matchmaking is going to happen, the entire team must be made aware and told how to respond when people question it. I really hope the culture of communication and "my secret, MY SECRET!!!" changes there. It has to. The blogs, twitches, youtubers, gaming sites, podcasters, reddit, and this forum have been trying to help raise awareness that all is not right in Gotham city. It is a shame it had to come to this. Third.. who knew that Bungie had a board of directors? I figured they answered to Activision, and that Activision has a Board of Directors...?
-
The tides may turn with these changes. The previous CEO was the Obama of Bungo.
-
You seem to have a lot of inside knowledge. Thanks for sharing I guess ;-)
-
Hope Harold finds something good. Pete......good luck on the new position.
-
Hmm. So Chief OPERATING Officer (COO) responsible for day to day operational running of the company, becomes Chief EXECUTIVE Officer (CEO) responsible for strategy and profitability of the company. What do you really expect to change?? The day to day operational responses to customer feedback are significant issues right now. That isn't the CEO role....that's COO.
-
I think we will be seeing bigger updates! Hopefully there will be free content and he believes destiny can be good again, i believe pete
-
Do you think they give Harold Ryan a huge severance package and gave the new ceo a huge raise? If so, do you think we will pay for it?
-
It was fired. They lied about MARTY O'DONNEL, and I'm not even on PlayStation (got an xbox one JUST for the halo games, except halo 4 and 5) Allright? They lied about Marty that it was a sad thing, then a year later they call him a crybaby asshole, and you can see BDobbins video of that. The xbox CEO (Fire to be real) because of what OP said. Now, they are doing a better job than before, maybe even better than Sony. Now, I hope this CEO is better, Maybe I'm wrong, but the second is always better
-
Now that link actually fooled me
-
You DO all realize that Bungie is still part of Activision, right? The public face may have changed, but the horrendous decision-makers haven't. Don't expect much to change in the way things are done creatively or content-wise.
-
To little to late. Destiny had me for a time. Hell, bungie had to push me out the door. Clan is dead, no friends play anymore. Unless it's something actually amazing, I don't see myself coming back. Good luck to the rest of you though, if you choose to stay.
-
luke smith next pls
-
Good start, now if this ceo isn't broman level of retard, he will sack the entire worthless dev team and hire some proper devs that give more then half a shit
-
That's great news! Now as usual, I have something for you to look into, this settlement needs our help, here. I've marked it on your map
-
Edited by Portagaz D Natsu: 1/28/2016 11:51:10 AMLOL you idiots really think Bungie will change anything?, Destiny 1 is done, endless PVP, stupid monthly silver farms and no rewarding content because their RNG is so broken only streamers (you know the people who's voice Bungie axctually hears) get anything good. If you really think Destiny 2 will be better, no it wont, they delayed it because they need to make sure they cut enough content from it already.
-
Now there's a 0.04% chance of getting a better game!
-
That explains Destiny 2's delay.

Marty got fired because he was a bitch over his track not being used in a trailer, his own fault.
-
While I understand he was the CEO, I am unsure if he was behind actually making the decision to boot Marty. ((For those who don't know, Marty got very vocal when Activision and Bungie made no plans to release Music of the Spheres, to the point where they weren't responding. Not liking his attitude, they have decided to give him the boot.)) If it was Ryan... and everything else you claim is true, then I agree. I was willing to do horrific things to Bungie involving many bladed instruments when I heard Marty was fired. With how disorganized the process was, I have no doubt it was made more on emotion than planning... that was a big mistake. Here's to hoping Ryan's replacement leads Bungie down the right path. I'm cautiously optimistic. P.S. Mr. Parsons (and Bungie higher ups) If you get any of this feedback... Music of the Spheres... Wink wink nudge nudge cough... "Please..." Cough cough
-
It is surely good news because we get rid of one of the a..holes that killed Destiny , but rest of the gang is still here. Deej , Luke Smith and Nerf God must be fired instantly for doing nothing in past 16 years other than hurting the game. Then we can at least have some faith in the company.
-
Take it from someone "in the know" regarding the actual reasons the CEO "stepped down". First, I'm not "in the know". Second, that's all.

a ceo looks at the profit of a company, nothing else. Nothing is gonna change...wake up
-
CEO's are supposed to care about money only, that's what they are hired for.
