Rand Paul seems to be a genuine guy. It's going to come down to the lesser of multiple evils, and he won't be one sadly. Unfortunately, people as a whole, in its current state, don't want to hear about having to fend for themselves. They like the idea of hand outs. Obama got one thing he wanted out of change; the the total change in the way of thinking about what it is to be American. A nation of people with their hands out instead of grasping a implement of self improvement.

Tell that to the guy hit by a car twice who can only work sporadically due to his permanent injuries. Or the single mother working her ass off to support herself and her kids. You're saying these types of people should be left without any support?

I never said anything about specific circumstances that would OBVIOUSLY require some kind of assistance from an outside program or source. But speaking about them, what about the moms out there dropping kids out like spilling m&m's from a bag and having the tax payer foot the bill. And when asked to take a drug test to receive the program(s) benefits, they get enraged that they? (we tax payers) don't have the right to ask such things; that it's none of our business. THAT is the hand out I'm talking about. Abusers of the system.

But those people are a small group. There are always bad ones in every group. In the 1%, we have on one hand Bill Gates, who gives millions of dollars to charity every year, and then we have Trump, a xenophobic and greedy narcissist. The fact is, in these groups, the people who abuse the system are in the minority (not talking demographics just numbers!) when compared to those that do not.
