TLDR: OP wants to talk politics on Destiny forums, so creates a half-baked simulation of events that pushes his agenda. There aren't any good candidates.

 • I agree about the candidates, also he's comparing people who play the game excessively to people who are trust fund babies and others who inherit wealth, along with a few who "earned" (only because of who they know or their parent know) their wealth. This isn't the same as RL, most 1% like the Rothschild family or the Koch families didn't "earn" their money fairly they exploited a broken economic system (some would call that work, but it isn't, it ruined the economy) My point essentially is, you can't compare real life wealth to in game wealth, they are earned in two totally different manners.

 • His comparisons are indeed awful and inaccurate.

 •
Here's a counter view: In the beginning of the game, everyone starts out even. - no exotics, legendaries, etc.. All exotics and legendary items are finite. Blues and greens are infinite- but don't come close to competing with exotics or legendaries. As you get an item, the chances for you to get another exotic, or god-like legendary item increases. But - if you breakdown an item, it gets returned to the pool, so someone else can get it. People play for grind, in the hopes of getting a great weapon. Then some players decide they aren't going to breakdown items anymore, because it gives them an advantage in PvP. Obviously, if fewer people have 1000-yard stare with hidden hand, then your kills with a sniper go up. As there only a finite # of items, and because the chances of getting god-like weapons increases as you hold them Eventually, it gets to a point where 1% of all players have all the best weapons, and light levels of 320 and the remaining 99% only have blue or green weapons, with light levels of 170. At this point, 99% (the rest of the players) opt out of the game, because the game is no longer fun and they can't compete. Real life meaning: What the 1% are failing to realize is that not sharing the wealth will lead to people "quitting the game." In real life is means that normal, functioning society breaks down. If you look with open eyes, this is already happening in the US. Since the 1% are unwilling to do this themselves, people are now turning to government to do it for them, because the majority of us don't want society to breakdown. However, as policy makers are unable, or willing to halt or reverse this trend, more and more people are getting "fed up." There is only one fix for this - the 1% need to recognize what income inequality will lead too, and begin to "share their wealth." However, as history has shown repeatedly, they rarely realize it until it is too late.
This was a good one!
