For the people that get through the hard times and succeed, do you think after they've gone from minimum wage to making 100K they're going to want to have 35-40% of that taxed?

do you honestly think that would work if everyone could do that? What you said is you should basically take more money from the system than you get back. If everyone just takes from the system soon enough the system has no money. finding a 'profitable venture' only suits to rob from others keeping them from doing the same to you at the same time. The top 1% already have their system in place, not everyone can climb up there no matter how intelligent they are or how hard they try.
