Because like I said, they can only accumulate their wealth through our labor. That's what capitalism is. Even the Donald would have you believe he did it all himself, but who do you think makes those skyscrapers he owns?

Doesn't mean he owes you anything cuz he got wealthy from it. He paid the people a wage to build it, that's how it's supposed to be. Nobody should be forced to give their money to ANYONE unless they want to or that person provided goods or services from them. Otherwise you're paying for something but getting nothing. THAT is what's unfair

I think you are under educated on what exactly would happen in a socialist democratic system. Forcibly taking someone's wealth would not happen.
I think you are under educated on what exactly would happen in a socialist democratic system. Forcibly taking someone's wealth would not happen.
Taxing the wealthy more than the middle and lower class IS forcibly taking their wealth. The only way you guarantee what you're saying is a flat tax rate for all which has never been on the table but I digress... That or a socialist democratic system was never what I was arguing. I was giving you a retort to your original comment about Not oweing Trump (or read that as the wealthy) anything. You're right, he doesn't, but he doesn't owe you anything either and shouldn't be forced to support the less wealthy just because he worked hard and was fortuitous. Hard work is not only measure in sweat and blood...often it's measured in mental analysis, strategy, and just plan personal drive. You damn well better believe that he (and most wealthy people) worked real hard at that. For the record, my view isn't really about Trump or his candidacy, it's simply that I believe that everyone should be taxed equally or it creates disincentive for someone. Everyone earned their money (rich or poor) and they are entitled to it. Nobody should pay more just cuz they made more

I think what you've said is absolutely false and has been proven so, but I can't get into it here. It would take too long. Sure it sounds good on a righht wing radio show, but the theory is basically poison. Go ahead and tell that person waking up at 4am to make our McDonald's that they aren't working hard. That it's all their fault and if they would only work a little harder, they could do better. It's sadly not true. The system is rigged and it's deceitful, in fact the capitalist hate competition even when they praise it. They will pay off any politician to corner a market until we passed laws to stop monopolies. They would break up unions, they would have us work longer for less. I mean we were, but we stopped them. They would have you believe it is all because of them even though through every step they've had help and luck. Now I'm not saying they don't work hard, but most of them were born rich. I can't go further, because I'm off subject now, my original point was just for people to see what it is. That every person who wants to work and contribute should be able to earn a honest wage where they don't have to struggle.

Well if you don't pay your taxes you are threatened with fines and jail time Case and point

Haha look at Denmark forcibly seizing the assets of migrants that enter the country. Private property means nothing in a socialist system, society owns the means of production.
