We bring up Y1 because people like yourself keep wanting to claim Mida is OP when it isn't. Mida is nothing compared to the true OP weapons.
If Thorn was ever brought to Y2, you'd know what OP is.
Midas base stats are average. Only its reload speed is better than anything. Aim assist may be highest of everything but that make just anyone an automatic headshot machine.
It's only the top of the meta right now because it's so popular. That's it. It's an easy to use, competitive choice. If that's the ONE thing that might be a drawback.

Thorn is still op and mida handles perfectly

Except Thorn isn't a Y2 weapon which means it's useless in Trials and IB. It's still excellent in regular Crucible but weapons are judged by their effectiveness in Trials and IB where the level advantages make a difference. Lots of guns are good in regular Crucible. The same cannot be said of IB and Trials
