they agree that we should "close the internet to prevent terrorism"
facepalm?
-
They both work for the same ppl
-
If they actually went through with that I would consider it grounds for a revolution.
-
*Loads TX-130 Saber-Tank lazer round* Why not we just stop phone services whilst where at it?! You never know what evil terrorist called by doing on those crazy old cellphones. Better yet, let's just not allow any human interactions in America; just replete the streets with giant walls! Who knows, terrorists could be talking to each other in some secret code that we can't understand.
-
Has anyone told them that that's not a thing?
-
Edited by Tuxx: 1/29/2016 5:13:00 AMSoon, we have grorious intranet like DPRK! The days of dealing with all of that internet full of scary terrorists is over.
-
lol How out of touch are these people??
-
They also are against Net Neutrality. Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, Time Warner, and many others need to be stopped. They even beat EA as a bad company, policies wise. It's not right for these companies to throttle users who pay good money for their services. Why trust Trump? He's a business man, of course he's against it. All he cares about is money and himself.
-
Also, on the internet there are sites where you can buy pretty much everything from drugs to drones You can upload and watch child porn You can join a forum where everyone is sexually attracted to little kids. You can hire someone to assassinate another person You can add to the bounty on someones head to incentivise murder. All of that is ok but as soon as muslim terrorists use social network to recruit people, shut the whole -blam!-ing thing down. Na good work "slow claps" good -blam!-ing work Being australian, this will affect me and the rest of the people on the planet. Sort out your country americans.
-
Ok can you provide the source so i can hammer the -blam!- out of hillary? Its either bernie or hillary as the democratic nominee
-
Thank god.
-
I sold my internet on eBay!
-
Edited by Nior of the shadow gang: 1/28/2016 2:52:03 PMIt's a ruse they just want to block all your porn and make you pay $500 more to be able to use even the cheapest internet.
-
We should stop social media as it's making people stupid
-
You know what the Interwebs needs? More walls.
-
Super facepalm
-
Well considering isis tries to recruit over twitter and Facebook it sounds Alright
-
This outta put Bernie on top!
-
I think we should be taking kind of the opposite approach. We should be using the power of the world wide web and digital media to attack terrorists and other US enemies. Imagine, them not being able to communicate or do anything online because they're plagued by endless streams of malicious pop-up ads. It may seem silly, but there is potential there to do a whole lot of damage.
-
Considering I like neither of them....
-
Let's off 'em both.
-
Edited by Some Black Guy: 1/28/2016 7:37:34 PMThat's what I keep shaking my head at. They said let's shut down parts of the internet, as if the internet is Hollywood boulevard and we can just block it off.
-
Well, shit. As if we needed to -blam!- over freedom of speech and the press even further.
-
We are the internets.
-
*facepalnx
-
Great idea!
-
That isn't what they said. Their actual statement can be debated without lying about it. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/12/10/technology/shut-down-internet-donald-trump-hillary-clinton.html?referer=
Donald J. Trump and Hillary Clinton said this week that we should think about shutting down parts of the Internet to stop terrorist groups frominspiring and recruiting followers in distant lands.
