So I'm a player that plays now and then... but when I do, I play pretty hard until I move on or something happens in my life to distract me. I started playing Destiny a month before TTK hit and with the help of some great people on the forums and some incredibly lucky RNG, I quickly got to level 34, had a gally, Ice Breaker, Nechro, etc. I picked up TTK when it hit and I think I played 2 days before work consumed me until last week when I picked up the controller again.
I quickly started getting some great drops, a lot of purples from blues, some 3oC drops, etc. Then I hit 295 and it seemed like someone turned off the switch. No more drops to speak of. Hell, I can't even get 5 blue fusions to get my Susanoo. All the drops I do get are the same weapons, armor I already have. I think I have deleted 10 pairs of Haleatus boots.
Anyone else see this occur? I will assume it's norm as my RNG has been pretty ridiculous. It seems as soon as I started playing every day, things petered out quickly. I wonder how many of you continue playing after the quests have dried and nothing drops.

you wont get past light 298 without raid/trials/iron banner so clear the raid for more loot or do iron banner

Edited by OGNoshkanok: 1/26/2016 2:46:38 AMThe climb from 290 to 300 is slow. Some tips: Vanguard and Eris quests get you a 300 special weapon and artifact. I assume you've already done those. Nightfall. You've seen plenty of complaints about shitty nightfall loot, and I have more 290-something ghosts than I ever want. But I've also got a 308 ghost, 302 chest and helmet. I did get a couple 308 helmets from SRL. Once you break 300, you can loosely manipulate the RNG while decrypting to increase your chances of 310 exotics.

I think destiny has rng juice Remember when vanguard ROC strikes were so generous when they started, and down the line they got gradually worse. Destiny has limited generosity
