could these guys be -blam!-ing this up any worse? destiny was a golden goose. crazy.
im not saying the delay is wrong in itself. im saying keeping things so thin, poor communication from the studio and now delays with the sequel point to major mishandling of what was once a shining light in the gaming community. i want destiny to be great maybe even more than most players. the fact is that is progressively less and less great. im confident that will change when 2 drops. but the foreseable future is grim and that is a mistake.
the bi annual sept release has been implied since the beginning. and the delay isnt the problem. i totally agree that they should take the time they need to make it right. but the there's already a palpable disconnect in the community along with an unmitigated staleness of content that's going to last a long time...even longer now.

I will play devil's advocate for both sides. First there were hints at a release date not confirmation so technically it can't be delayed. Now for those saying by all means take your time to make a perfect game.... well we were all hyped that for the first destiny and the final product was far from what was promised. So haters hate and fan boys defend but you are both right and both wrong.
-
There can't be a delay on something that hasn't be announced... People need to get over themselves, even if there isn't a September release, I'm fine because it will most likely result in a better sequel. TTK was fine, just not how they handled content after release.
-
Because destiny 2 is the first game to be delayed.... better crucify bungie for it. Honestly it's getting old, people using everything they can to just bitch and complain and blame bungie. It's a delay, they happen, get over it.
-
Delaying Destiny 2 will only make it better and more polished though...
-
Kotaku is garbage
-
They delayed it because they are going to give us a free ttk sized dlc that all the silver sales paid for.
inside sources tell me that the above statement is complete bullshit. Bungie is actually laughing all the way to the bank.
-
Well, let's just hope the extra time will result in a better game.
-
who cares? the game is terrible as is now, just wait for destiny 2 however long it is. maybe the long wait time will result in a good game
-
-
Hopefully they are taking this time to make a better game
-
Would rather get a finished game later than an unfinished game early. Looks like Bungie learned something from Destiny after all.
-
If the release date being pushed back fixes issues. Im ok with that. Look at how bad ac unity was on release day. Look at arkham knight on pc. They took it off steam and offered refunds.
-
read the source its just and article they cant push back something they haven't even set a date on
-
Edited by SnR_Snipez123: 1/25/2016 1:02:27 AMHow can it be "pushed back" if it never even got an official release date in the first place. This is it. This is the date. And I'm okay with waiting as long as it takes when it means getting an amazingly perfect game.
-
I don't think it's cracks but rather polishing. Nothing is confirmed yet either.
-
Good games often get delayed. Potentially Horrible games get rushed out the door on time. I don't mind delays if it means proper fixes, a functioning game, and possibly more content.
