The Split Shifter Pro:
Talk about a shitty gun in a shitty class. The Split Shifter is literally the WORST gun I have ever used in Destiny, and this is coming from someone who is fairly proficient with Sidearms and Fusions in general. This is a horrific case of nerfs aimed at higher-impact guns destroying the playability of their peers (think of what the original Suros nerfs did to Autos in general).
For those not in the know, the Split Shifter is unique in that it is the only Fusion unable to kill a player in 5 bolts (they have 7, I believe), instead requiring 6 and having a faster charge cycle to compensate. Unfortunately, this means you might as well be using a terrible shotgun with a loading screen; it functions horribly as a counter to shotguns (something Fusions higher up on the impact scale can barely manage anyway) and is the least reliable weapon I've ever used. The kind of accuracy that almost saves other Fusions is completely absent here, and the increased charge doesn't change the fact that a 1HK is near-impossible, and a mediocre shotgun can manage the same with more range/reliability.
Using it pre-emptively is just as hopeless; even the best timed player will find themselves losing what should be clean engagements due to the guns unwieldiness. And this is considering I got a decent roll (rangefinder, with rifled barrel/accelerated coils/enhanced battery).
So in short, the Split Shifter Pro fails at being a shotgun, a fusion rifle, and barely passes the test to be a gun. There are tasers with better range and at least you have a small chance of killing via heart-attack with a taser.

I'm pretty sure fusion rifles have 7 bolts, not 8. Besides, the worst weapon is probably either Pocket Infinity or No Land Beyond (year 1) since they both use up the exotic slot.
