Thoughts on Dragon Age: Inqisition?
Thoughts? Worth the buy on ps4?

Reading the thread as a whole I think is a pretty good review of the game. I enjoyed it at launch, finished the main game, started another character, but got sidetracked and haven't returned. I'd like to get back to it at some point, probably get the DLC when it's on sale and restart it. Problem is when it came out, there wasn't anything really worth playing on PS4. Lately, however, a lot has come out, and more is coming. Some buddies finally got Diablo 3, i went back to that, haven't finished Fallout 4, and Divinity:Original Sin arrives into my grubby paws on Wednesday. So..... It was one of the best games of 2014, but 2014 was a bad year.

1 ReplyI really enjoyed inquisition. I am currently working on my 4th play through. I really like the options and variation of the sub stories. And how much you can alter the interactions with characters by how you respond to them. The only downside is the major expansions are current gen only.

5 RepliesMost people seem to like it. I hated it. I even forced myself to play 20 hours of it. I thought it was long and boring with crap controls. I'd get a quest to talk to somebody and then have to sit and hear a half hour life story on shit I couldn't care less about. The rare opportunities I had for battle were almost just as bad. You can mash buttons with clunky controls. You can also pause the game and place your allies. PAUSE, um OK, I'll move the archer ummm in the corner, yeah that's good. Let's see, the caster can go wayyy back here. Looking good. The Templar should tank so I'll stick her in front. Where should I go? Oh, I know. I'll help the Templar. Now I can mash the shit controls. UNPAUSE. It just takes the sense of urgency away. I paid $30+ tax and felt like I was ripped off. The Witcher 3 has a better story, controls and characters I cared about.

Its a classic RPG but not heavy on the story side compared to other BW games.

Great game. A bit of an empty open world at times, but good characters, great story, fun dlc, and a solid (but sometime boring) combat system. The biggest issue most people have with it would either be the quests (a bit lackluster compared to previous Dragon age games) or the combat system (it's strategic combat, but it tries to work liked action-based combat.) but even with those 2 things The game is still pretty good. Not as great as the first gsme, but better than the second. DA:I is a Solid 8/10

Very good rpg, combat is tactical so unless you're into that you may not enjoy it as much

If it's cheap definitely. It has a cool battle system where you can fight real time or stop it and speed it up at your liking. Has some good characters. I got pretty far then stopped for some reason. I need to get back to it

I need to get back to my play through but I'm just not feeling it. The first one is one of my favorite games, but the second was terrible. And even though inquisition is better it's still not as good to me. I also hate how the combat had a ton of variations, but now it's over simplified.

It's a good RPG. It won GotY for 2014, so it's obviously a pretty good game.
