did everyone enjoy black spindle day? :) (updated with strategy for non exotic sword users, low light or new players)
i helped 70 guardians (XB1) get there first spindle and it was a blast and if you are still in need of a black spindle i will post a link to my recruitment post for next time around.
i thought i add my first time soloing it video, i was asked a few times if i soloed it so i thought i put the video up :) (i dont have a recorder to record the whole thing sadly but it shows how little time i had left)

Edit: black spindle strategy that works 100% (this is meant to work for non exotic sword users, low lights and new players)
Step 1: when you go in the room announce that you only kill the taken and blights first. (this is wave 1 with 2 phalex)
Step 2: damage the boss intill you hear blights forming then stop shooting him immediately.
Step 3: kill 2nd wave of taken (blights first) This is the knight wave (4 taken Knights flame shields)
Step 4: damage the boss intill you hear the blights forming then stop shooting him immediately.
Step 5: kill the 3rd wave of taken. (blights first)This is the centurion wave. ( 4 taken centurions with arc shields)
Step 6: damage the boss intill you hear the final wave of blights forming then stop shooting him immediately (you don't have to as there is no more waves but it makes it easier)
Step 7: kill the 4th and final wave of taken (blights first) This is the captain wave (4 taken captains with flame shields)
Step 8: Kill the main boss and you are done (you should have time to spare everytime depending on how fast you clear the other rooms)

1 ReplyI enjoyed it by playing Diablo 3 and ESO with buddies. Btw, what is Black Spindle? I do patrols all day every day (like a boss) and it never seems to drop for me? Is there a specific route I should run?

2 RepliesWhen I help people we just bum rush him with exotic swords with 1 or 2 titan bubbles. Never fails

A couple raze lighters and a titan bubble or two is the easiest way I've done it.

4 RepliesThe NERFED Black Hammer/Spindle is simply not worth the Exotic slot. TYS beats it as a Legendary no less. Secondly the Ship drop is STILL broken. Two and a half months later. So no I did not even partake of that bugged thing.

1 ReplyThat technique works. Both my successful runs have been using this technique, even got close with two blueberries who couldn't shoot to save their lives using this method.

1 ReplyEdited by Biteria: 1/24/2016 10:43:02 PMThis is the exact strategy I used, although I developed mine by trial and error the first time around, I did the strike about 15 times yesterday and around 20 the last time it came around, out of those 35ish times running the strike I only failed 3 times mostly due to connection issuies, surprised I didn't run into you while helping people on Xbox one also.

3 RepliesMyself and a clan mate got the spindle on our 1st ever try, a dedender titan with dark drinker and i was a stormcaller. We got to the boss with around 6 mins to go, we killed the boss 1st and THEN we focussed on blights. Truth, stormtrance and darkdrinker took care of the blights pretty quick and we finished with just under a minute to spare. The stability isnt great... but also havent used in the raid yet. Its on my warlock.

Storm caller with transcendance (extended duration for multi lightning chain kill party), shadowshot hunter with black hole (extended duration for an all night orb orgy) and a Titan with sunspots on (extended duration of hammers and AoE for an all you can eat add buffet)

I've met so many cool people online and the forums do not accurately reflect the majority of the community. Even though it's a bit whiny overall that doesn't change the fact that there are a lot of truely good people online. Besides, a little whining isnt always a bad thing =)
