Yall kill me with that 'squeaker' term lol.We were all young once, but for whatever reason a lot tend to forget that. Anyway, that sucks your raid experience with that person wasnt fun, but i dont think age has anything to do with it. I've had enjoyable raid times with plenty of youngsters, just like i've had not so enjoyable raid times with older gamers. What i'm saying is that the age doesnt matter, it's the person.

It's a matter a maturity. A 20 something year old wouldnt want to hang out with an immature 12 year old in real life, so why would they want to play video games with them? It is mostly that I don't want to spend my 1hour or so raid with a kid who is super annoying and had nothing in common with me. I would much rather spend it with a mature adult who is more on my level of maturity and let's be honest immuturity. Also, for those who used to raid with kids on Crota understand the massive arrogance of a young kid who thought he was the best sword bearer ever. But yet always seemed to die constantly and blame it on everyone else.

I understand what you're saying, but the same way you wouldnt want to game with an immature kid, you shouldnt want to game with an immature adult that acts the same. Cause everything you described, i've experienced more with adult gamers than 'squeakers'. They tend to be the ones that think they know everything cause they are whatever light level. They are the ones that tend to be the assholes more than the kids. Prime ex: last night, raiding with an lfg group, there was an older gamer that was using a 319 character. The whole raid, all he would say is how he knew this/that, how he was this great gamer, how everything he said we should do would work as long as we were 'competent' gamers, etc. all because he was a 319. Anytime anyone messed up, he had a smart remark about their gaming skills/tried to belittle them. Anytime he messed up, it was always somebody else's fault or the fact that he 'wasnt really trying because he didnt need the raid anymore' (although he kept going on about how he wasnt 320 on any of his characters and really wanted to be). You could tell everyone in the group was tired of him, but since we were breezing through the raid for the most part (not doing what he said by the way), no one cared. It wasnt until we picked up a 'squeaker' cause someone dropped out, that people cared about his mouth. The kid was quiet, listened, and tried his hardest. But the other guy belittled the kid from the min he joined. If the kid did anything wrong, he would curse about the kid's skills, say how he sucked, etc., just going in on the kid. After the second time he did it, i had to tell him to not do that shit no more cause it was a kid and he was supposed to be the adult. At that point, he stopped talking/saying smart remarks until after we beat oryx. While I and others were telling the kid he did fine and just needed more experience (this was his first time beating hard), the 319 couldnt help but try to get 1 last shot in and say 'we were being nice' Had to tell him that we all were young once, and that we all needed to get experience at the raid, we didnt start it at 319. That's why i say age doesnt matter, it's all individual.
