Three Of Coin Issues and More Variety in Strikes
Some issues in game have been driving me crazy and wanted to vent my frustration.
3OC's: There seems to be a major change with the 3OC's. Up until recently, I could receive an exotic from roughly 6 or 7 coins used or at least that was my experience. Now it seems to take 10 or more for me to get an exotic and this appears to be happening on all my classes. I've spoken with several other players and they seem to be experiencing this change as well. I know its not a guarantee for a drop but it seems odd that it would change so rapidly for the drops. As a test, a friend and I did strikes after strikes using our coins to see how many ultra's we would have to kill before an exotic dropped. My friend had 9 and mine was 11.
Server Issues: Clearly there are a lot of topics on this already but it's getting increasingly bad. My raid team was about to complete the Golgoroth challenge when we all were disconnected and had to do a full restart. The random kicking with the variety of error messages is both annoying for the player and sad for Bungie. Your game reputation is important and if players are constantly disconnecting and particularly in Raids, thats an issue. Its brought up time and time again here but we never hear any feedback from Bungie about plans to fix it or work around solutions.
Strikes. For the love of destiny, can we get some more variety? Other than Crucible and Raids, Strikes are the only other content to complete once you have done your quests. The same 4-5 strikes in the rotation every week is so dull. Can we not get some more strikes in rotation? Running Omnigul 3 times in a row is really dull and most players seem to have no clue on what to do with that strike. Not to mention the large amount of people leaving strkes either at the beginning or doing nothing for the entirety of the strike.
As I said, just venting some frustrations. Clearly the 3OC issue is my biggest issue since strange coins are so hard to come by these days for myself.

However- this is now yet another instance of allegorical evidence that *something* is up with 3oC - it's not random or rare, many, many people are reporting a decrease in drop rate from 3oC. If; in fact Bungie did discreetly lower the drop rate for 3oC - then I think they made a mistake. While a good portion of the community is complaining about lack of content, at least the complertionists can continue fishing for those exotics they don't have. OR- if they opened the entire library of exotics into the drop table for 3oC engrams, then I could understand it. but only having the what, 50% of exotics be in the loot tables for egnrams, and then possibly cutting the drop rate as much as half? I will simply stop buying 3oC if news of this keeps going around and I keep experiencing a ~1 in 10 drop rate. I'll buy year one engrams to flush out my exotics. Hopefully you are waiting in between using three of coins. Some people say 15 minutes in between each use. I usually play a strike or crucible game in between each use. I usually am able to get at least one or two exotics a day. I've even received 3 in one day. It really helped me get to 312, since I've never done the raid. :P I could just be lucky though lol. My brother uses the coins and very rarely gets exotics.

1 ReplyYour sample size is too low to draw any sort of conclusion on 3oC. They've been dropping for me every 6 or so times it seems. But I do agree wholeheartedly that they need to bring back strike variety.
