Had a little fellow a long time ago come in without a mic on Atheon. No one knew anything about him other than I who had run with him on strikes, and all I knew was that he was capable. He ended up running relic and all were impressed after initially dubious because of the lack of mic. Turned out he wasn't on mic because he was a squeaker and bashful about such. I think he was about nine years old. I didn't know he was a youngin' until a few weeks later when he finally put on a mic and spoke during Prison of Elders. He's still on my friends list, though we don't play much anymore. He's on the XB One, and I'm still left behind on the 360 after having my Day One Box stolen. I avoid most wee ones, but a few will pleasantly surprise you now and again.

  • How'd your Xbone get stolen?

Someone kicked in my front door and stole a whole mess of stuff from my house, including another Xbox (360 with Totaro in the tray. The One had my Legendary Destiny disk in its tray), two MacBook Airs, an EeePC, some jewelry, drawers rummaged through, stuff on the floor....It really sucked. Oh, and one of the kids' pillowcases off her bed to stuff it all into. They had the TV in the living room disconnected and on the floor, but I guess they couldn't fit it into their car or didn't have enough time to take it. The worst part? My wife missed them by a matter of one or two minutes. She had taken the littlest one to the doctor that morning. I could see when she came home by the time her phone reconnected to the wifi on the router and what time the equipment was unplugged or shut down and disconnected from the router...a matter of about two minutes difference in the logs. So glad she didn't run into them.

  • I clarify, I liked that she didn't run into them, not that you were burglarized... Realized that may have looked odd

  • That's pretty terrifying. Really too bad they made off with so much, too. People can really irritate me sometimes. I mean, who does that to a fellow human being? (I could go on a whole rant here, but suffice it to say that I'm glad you're wife didn't meet up with those fack-tards.)

  • It was very distressing. We had another break-in some months later, that time through a bedroom window. We've since moved from that house into a condo. The rest of the time we were there whenever I got home, I never quite shook the urge to search the house from the outside for signs of a break-in and from the inside once entering. I was always worried for my wife. The neighborhood was supposed to be a good one but all around it were signs of increasing crime. Pro Tip: When helicopters start circling above your neighborhood, it's time to leave.

  • I can understand the compulsion to search, if only because my step-dad was the same way. He's a Vietnam veteran, and a pastor all in one, and after our church (a church my dad built himself) was burned down by some rather distasteful people, he's been a lot more wary of everything around the neighborhood. Also fire prevention. That's been a big one in his house for a while now, as you can imagine. It's interesting you mention the helicopters, too, because I live in an apartment complex where choppers have passed over a few times. I only assume they were searching, but there were no cruisers to accompany them, so I can't be sure. Hopefully I'll be outta here by the end of the year, anyway. Stay safe!

  • I sometimes play with a 9 year old girl named Ella. She's absolutely beast in the Crucible and can outplay me and my friends combined.

First, you're assuming I'm old. Second, you're assuming I'm a man. I'm a 25 year old woman, who happened to meet her father through some of my Xbox Live friends. He supervises most of her gameplay, and even joins her on some of her Raids. We all have a good time together as friends. ;) I got her name because she volunteered that information, and it's also in her gamertag. Edited to add a winky face. ;)

  • No worries. I meant no offense with my earlier reply. I hope I didn't come off too snarky. :) Thanks for apologizing as well. Not a lot of folks nowadays who would own up to their mistake like that. ;)

  • I hate when that happens....unless she's on my team.
