I know, having a developer that cares sounds strange when Bungie is doing their best to destroy Developer/Gamer relations, but developers who appreciate the time and money we sink into our games do still exist.
I picked up Diablo 3 again last night (took a small break from ESO) becuase they released a new patch that also added in two entirely new areas of exploration, new bounties, new weapons, armor, and new weapons and armor Sets.
With a patch.
For absolutely free.
They also balanced the game more, but not like Wiesnewski or Luke Smith "balance" a game.
Diablo just added in four (4) new Torment levels, so now you can crank the difficulty up to Torment X, and the new balances make your character feel like a minor deity as you cruise through their areas. They tweaked and changed the way older Sets worked to make them more powerful and to work better with the new content and the new difficulty levels. Adding in new ways to craft and customize your gear came along with it, and it all adds up to make for an even more enjoyable demon-slaughtering romp than it was before the patch.
If Blizzard can do all of this for free, simply to make sure that their Gamers and employees are having as much fun as possible with the game, then there's zero reason that every other company cannot do the same.
So yeah; eat shit, Bungie. When a company really appreciates their Gamers, they bend over backwards to show that appreciation. A company that actually appreciates their Gamers doesn't view them simply as trust-funds to keep milking money out of them for little to no actual content in return.
It's for these reasons that I play ESO and Diablo 3 almost exclusively anymore. I still have a handful of other MMO's that I run around in, but I'll stick with games and developers who actually appreciate the time and money I sink into a game, not try to dick me out of money and give me no content in return (or remove content I already paid for but am now being told I can't play that content unless I cough up more money...).

Diablo 3 for console is pointless once you learn everyone has hacked gear
-
Blizzard should take over from (in)activision
-
Loved d2, might have to pick up d3. Bump, just read an unbelievable post that was a full on retard rant on how we are picking on bungie and how we should keep giving them money so they can keep balancing and giving up content xD wtf content? Oooooohh I wish I could give this persons name players Lmao rof. That post was the fan boy of all fan boys I tell you what.
-
I love d3 I wish I had a computer that could run it, my laptop was murdered by heat after playing d3 regularly...
-
-
This would be interesting if Diablo 3 was a first person shooter.
-
Agreed. Sign if you love Diablo 3. Lol

Blizzard has been easily one of the best dev tems out there. They have a very long release schedule, and it takes them a while to come around with changes and updates, but no one complains.... wanna know why? Because they are good changes, they rarely break things, demonstrate the mastery of their art, attention to detail, and far reaching vision into the balance and performance of their game. It's amazing. Blizzard always delivers, and rarely disappoints. In-fact..... their FPS Overwatch is shaping up to be an amazing game. Really looking forward to seeing what blizzard can to with the genre.

I'm a new player on D3 and I'm impressed by all of it .. puts destiny to shame..
-
Biggest shiet in destiny: go to the cosmodrome patrol and play with a lvl 310+ character ... Watch your damage get circumcised so that it still takes multiple CRITS to take down a vandal!!! Then go into a lvl 40 heroic strike and watch the SAME FVCKING WEAPON one shot red healthed enemies ... WTF!!!!???!!!??
-
How can I transfer it over to Xbox one? I have it for the 360....
-
The same has always been with Blizzard games if you ask me. Other MMO creators try and try and try to mimic them, yet, they always come up short. I think ESO had been the most successful in a long time, yet they still had to remove monthly payments to keep relevant. I think a Destiny monthly fee of 10-15 bucks actually would have been a great idea, because I feel like the community actually still have such hopes and believes in the game concept, I believe most players would pay the subscription fee to play, and maybe then Bungie actually could keep better up with the demands and really make a great game. Alot is to be learned from former MMO greats and I don't think there is any shame in copying some things to make a new great game.

Free? FOR FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?

This "proves" to me that the problems with destiny don't entirely fall on the shoulders of activision.
-
CD Projekt Red renewed all faith in Community/Developer Relations. Whatever they put out, I shall buy.
-
Lol i also started d3 again Monk ftw

I just picked up Diablo 3 again but this time with the expansion included and holy shit they made some excellent changes. I've been playing with my roommate a ton and it's such a great game. At the end of the day Bungie will go down as one of the most hated and frowned upon developers as they continue to sell scraps for ridiculous money and neglect their IP and fan base.
-
If we're coing to compare Destiny/Bungie to other games/developers, I shall direct you to the Diablo III launch fiasco.
-
Blizzard actually helped with Destiny. More so sound advice that anything though.
-
Blizzard makes more money per year in WoW than Bungie has since signing the Activision contract. Bungie is clearly chronically understaffed, perhaps because of this. The real thing is what need do you have to post this on the forums? What does talking about how much "better" another game is do as feedback? You idiots are like ex-SOs bitter about their breakup.
-
Only reason they can do that is because they have wow where people spend 10k a month
-
I want a professional russian fast fatebringer with wolfpack rounds

Edited by Dirty8Speciall: 1/21/2016 2:24:44 PMBungieVision releases cutting floor scraps for cash and takes away content so you have to buy the expansion for the game to still be playable. They sold tens of millions of games and can't cough up the cash to buy dedicated servers to stop the lag in PvP, the game mode they keep pushing more and more. They finally re-release the exotics they took away in year 1 and we're supposed to jump for joy.The game itself was incredibly fun, even if the "if you can see it you can go there" never came to be. The business side of the game has simply ruined it, I won't soon forget. I hope others don't as well when Destiny 2 or some other "blockbuster" Activision game comes out.
