So fellow guardians I want to hit you all with some lore speculation. Let's start with the traveler. First I think there is more to the traveler then is told to us some key aspects is apparently the traveler use to communicate but doesn't anymore because of the lack of light and has gone quite but sense the killing of the black heart why isn't he back to communicating with the guardians or atleast the ghosts or the speaker I think there is much more to the traveler then we know. My though is that it's a ship. Of the remnants of some race of beings trying to save as many species as they can from the darkness and I think earth was just the final place it could go and now all the aliens inside of it are dead but the ship is not. How cool would it be to get a dlc that goes inside to traveler and you find all these messages to the guardians from the last of the race of light with instructions on how they are to become the new race of light and defeat the darkness. Second set of speculation I would like to hit on is the darkness. Now going off the basis of our last train of thought and the traveler is really a ship for the last race of light. Then ok was the taken King the leader of the darkness or as we have seen is he just one race amount many that are in service to the darkness we may not know. But I feel there is more to the story of the travelers or the race of lights battle with the darkness is it a struggle spanning eons and we are just coming in on the tail end or is this something that is going on in multiple galaxies and happening to multiple races?? With the stranger (the exo chick from the story) we know she isn't a guardian and she is working for and with a group that is fighting a much bigger battle than we know of. I think that there will be more to this story in either coming destiny dlc or in destiny 2. Now on to my final piece of speculation. Rasputin. Why is he still here. And what is he frantically protecting?? Is it some form of tech that would rock the foundation of the war. Or is it something else something much more simple like someone or something hidden away that Rasputin would risk all to protect I think it would be interesting to see what Rasputin would like be protecting that is hidden away buried under hundreds of years of forgotten technology. And why is every enemy in the solar system so frantic to get at what he is hiding. Food for thought everyone. Would love to hear what you guys think let's keep this clean and an up beat conversation
