So I was reminiscing over all of my year one gear in my vault last night. Especially my VoG armors. They just look so damn cool. But when I put it on, I go from a 318 badass to a fashion forward wimp. Suddenly, I remembered the game DC Universe. Not the greatest game but not bad either. One thing it had in spades over Destiny was its diversity in player aesthetics. The reason for this was its "Styles" menu. Once a player received a piece of gear, the aesthetic style was forever saved, so one day when the player got another piece of gear that was higher level, the player could equip that piece of gear, acquire the higher level benefits, then go to the "styles" menu and choose whatever aesthetic style they wanted, as long as they'ed already acquired the style. I really think Bungie should implement something like this. That way, the player would have complete control over the way their guardian looked, and still maintain their highest light level. Let's face it, some of the white/common gear, though weak compared to endgame gear, still LOOKED really cool! It would be awesome to have the option of keeping that "style" while maintaining your light level. What do you think?
