Edit: I would only suggest this for a pvp change, the pve bubble is completely fine, I don't see why anyone would ever want to make a super weaker in pve, I certainly don't
Bubble spamming may not happen a lot, or be a huge problem for most crucible gamers, but if you haven't played against a team of 3 defenders spamming weapons of light + blessing of light using ice breaker consider yourself lucky.
The problem is that you can completely charge a new bubble while your original is still in effect, allowing you to spam it for an entire match, provided the enemy team doesn't destroy them before the new one is charged.
I would suggest that the bubble doesn't immediately drain your entire super, allowing you to start charging a new one immediately. I suggest that the super energy drain slowly, like roaming supers do, and the bubble lasts until the super energy is depleted.
Edit: I am not calling for any kind of nerf to the bubble, people misunderstand what I'm asking for, the only thing that I'd line to see changed is the exploiting of the bubble mechanics to grant a team infinite super. The bubble is not a problem, it's the ability to give every person on the team infinite super, golden gun, hammer, stormcaller, bladedancer, etc. I don't want the bubble itself changed in any way
Note I'm not suggesting a decrease in the time, bubble health, weapon / armor buff or anything of that nature, simply don't allow the super to recharge while it is still in effect.
***ALTERNATE IDEA***
If not allowing defenders to charge a second super while the first is in effect somehow kills the super, how about implementing a maximum number of orbs pet match, enough to get maybe 3 full supers off of orbs. This would effect every class equally, and other orb farming methods would be effected equally as well. Best of all, this should be ready to implement in pvp without effecting pve
Edit: Bubble can be viewed as a roaming super. You gain the buffs upon entering the bubble, the buffs (excluding armor of light) are not confined to the bubble, you can leave the bubble and then use those buffs, therefore it can be looked at as a roaming super, your just limited to the amount you can roam before the buff wears off.
Edit: Bubble spamming could still happen if this change was implemented, but it would take more coordination than it currently does. The change this would make would allow someone to destroy the bubble, knowing that the defender will have to charge their super completely, rather than possibly having a second bubble already charged allowing them to start the bubble spam immediately off their spawn. Not sure why people feel this small change would kill the super

Edited by SwordOwl: 2/4/2016 10:17:52 PMHow about being able to shoot out of the bubble and add the "active super" bar that depletes while active? That would prevent a defender from charging up from his own super, provides a way to be more offensive with it, and counter the fact that enemy guardians just sit back and scope in on defenders until the bubble goes down
-
Now we complain about bubbles....what's next rare armor op?
-
It's not even a problem. You have to have a whole team willing to participate and coordinate when are where to put the bubbles. The chances of people purposely doing that and finding that team is very slim Tl;dr Just shut up
-
Edited by ThisMahSwamp: 1/20/2016 10:34:44 PMVery very rarely is this an issue. Honestly, if they are managing to get their supers before you, which means they are killing you, which means they were already winning, and are able to coordinate a spot to spam bubbles, you deserve it =) That is really the only condition in which this can be achieved; other wise they wouldn't be able to chain bubbles because you are killing the other teammates before they can snag the orbs, which disappear when they die!
The only reasonable solution would be to put a cap on orbs per minute in PvP. Any supers used after say 8 orbs are created for a team within a minute does not generate additional orbs.
Didn't know it was broken...
-
If I had to change it I would just make WoD drop orbs on kills while buffed by it instead of just dropping them. That way you need kills to make orbs like other supers, and more people would use weapons/blessing. It wouldn't be a problem anymore, not that it really is a problem now

People like you are ruining this game, no matter what class you claim to main. Hammers were nerfed because of people like you, and now you want to nerf the only useful Titan PvE class? No. As others have said, if you want to treat is as a roaming super, let the bubble roam with us.
-
You know the community is absolutely retarded when people call for nerfs on the least played pvp subclass which also takes more skill to use.
-
It was already patched both of those videos are from year 1
-
If they make super drain like roaming super, might as well make the bubble follow the defender titan when roaming. Imagine a defender titan with armor of light with a shotgun roaming with the bubble. Lol. Gonna fun.
-
The bubble is not a roaming super If the bubble followed you then it would be a roaming super.
-
It's a fair concept, but it's on the smallest minority of Defenders who do this and the bubble is super weak anyways so solo defenders would not benefit from this at all, even further reducing the amount of Defenders you see in PvP
-
You're a tard. This I hilarious when done correctly. I frankly don't even get mad I just laugh and switch to my striker then SMASH !!!
-
Wait for the super finish or don't get in?
-
Don't shoot their bubbles......... -.-
-
You have a point, it can be very frustrating to go against an experienced bubble train. However orbs of light are one of the main draws of the defender bubble. They would have to increase the strength of the bubble but prevent it from spawning orbs. Or they could make it drop mini orbs like the nightstalker bow.
-
I guess the only way to stop team bubble spamming in pvp is to further nerf orbs of light but that's just uncalled for. I hate what happened to orbs of light
-
Lol nerf the weakest pvp super??? SMH!!!

Edited by Sawk monkey: 1/20/2016 12:17:42 AMFist of havoc counters it

Just hold on to foh until someone pops a super. Fist. Profit.
-
With the nerf to orb energy, it's very hard or almost impossible to make a consistent bubble farm. This strategy takes a large amount of teamwork, and teamwork should be rewarded.
-
Remove orbs from pvp. Or at least decrease them by a lot.

Didn't think so it's not roaming unless the super itself is mobile
-
That's why you need a decent Striker on your team!! Just 1 FOH activated can wipe out every bubble they have!! And them too if they don't move... :-)
-
It's easy as hell to counter all you have to do us use your super the first second they use their bubble

OP is Butthurt because he/she had to face this strategy.
