So as we all know, the fallen house of wolves is broken, Skolas "kell of kells" is dead, and the prime servitor destroyed. But one would wonder how could a prophecy be wrong? For those of you who like to read mythology you may notice that (mostly in Greek/Roman mythology) that when someone goes to the oracle and the oracle gives a prophecy it always came true even it doesn't always seem like it will, it comes true. For some reason I find it hard to believe that we broke a prophecy, call me crazy but its the way I think.
Consider this, what if the prophecy hasn't quite started yet?
So quick backstory on the battle of twilight gap, when all the fallen houses came together to take on the city, guess who was in charge of that orchestration......The kell of kings. So to our knowledge this guy is very very smart to be able to command all the fallen houses in a brutal charge like that but he's also not some brutish caller as we can see with his house's activities. They remain discrete and stay to very confined corner areas of the cosmodrome and the areas they occupy are near some very high gain areas. (Rasputin's little computer thing under the skywatch, the communications array, and appear to be stationed inside an old command center to the colony ship "devil's spire") With this in mind we can see the kell of kings is a very good military commander but only failed at the twilight gap because of the reef deciding to drag itself into the fight by halting the house of wolves.
Now he's been hiding, thinking, maybe creating a new plan, we don't know where he is or what he's up to but what I would like to point out here is something he did. He brought all the fallen houses together to fight for the great machine.
Now maybe I'm crazy but that sounds a lot like a Kell or kells to me. Problem is he probably lost the favor of the fallen at the twilight gap, so he'd have to do something to regain their favor, and that might just be what he's doing as we speak. We have no clue where he is or what he's doing but I feel like I know a turtle tactic when I see one. Skolas attempted to gain the favor of the fallen by sowing his might but that failed because we overpowered his forces, then he tried to harness vex tech which he did.
Little side theory here on that:
I believe Skolas could still be alive because there has been word that he went back and scooped himself up which normally wouldn't work because time freaks out when there's a paradox, BUT, there isn't one because skolas dumped himself off at the prison of elders, getting the second one killed so that no one suspects that he is alive and allowing him to do whatever he's doing.
But still we beat him. I'd like to point out that he didn't try to take the kings by force Which makes me wonder what his reason was. unless he knew he couldn't take the kings by force or had a certain respect for the kell of kings I don't see why he would try to talk this one out.
I imagine the kell of kings is doing something to make him seem more god-like and one way I could see that happen is if he's infusing a servitor into himself, maybe the dead prime of kings, making him by far stronger and probably regaining his favor with the other houses. With the support of the house of devils(who I think already like or maybe even follow the kings), the already broken winter, the scattered packs of wolves, and the desperate exiles, all he would need to do is extend his hand of mercy to all the fallen and tell the to forge a new house where all fallen can prosper and with that comes an unbeatable might.
Variks mentions during the missions when you're hunting the new wolf prime that the wolves moving to mars is a pilgrimage and for that they will stop at nothing. If the kell of kings did come out claiming to be the true kell of kells while wielding the power of a prime You can bet the fallen would look onto him as a god-kell who could lead them to victory if they all unite (like the twilight gap but this time the wolves won't get held up)
I should mention though, in this prophecy It mentions that the great machine will marvel in the kell of kell's might so this could mean a variety of things but here's what I see.
Option A:
I see The kell of kings demanding an audience with the guardian counsel, like I said the kell of kings isn't stupid and knows Skolas's approach and the twilight gap failed so maybe he should resort to a more diplomatic appraoch. The traveler sees that the fallen haven't lost faith in it (even when it abandoned them) and brings the fallen to the light where they can rebuild their houses and their golden age along side us and fight back the coming darkness.
Option B:
he reviews the battle of twilight gap a few thousands times and plots a second attempt to assault the city. Possibly resulting in a second twilight gap.
TL;DR: the kell of kings is the true kell of kells and is doing something to regain the favor of the fallen, once he does he's going to try and take on the city again or try and talk it out with us.
