Why do I see so many people using the term 'hardscoping' as if it's some kind of dirty word or noob tactic? That's how you're MEANT to use a sniper rifle. All this stuff like quickscoping, drop shotting, no scoping, drag scoping etc is just crap from games like CoD. If you can do all that stuff, fine, but don't pretend that's how the gun is intended to be used, because it isn't.
A sniper is a tool for delivering high precision damage from a long range. Usually, that involves finding a good sight line on a well trafficked area and going to town. The counter is that while someone is scoped, they lose their radar, so it's easier to flank them.
You can argue all day about whether or not snipers are balanced, whether they should have aim sway or descoping or whatever. I'm not sure that I know what the correct answer is. But it's still a fact that aiming down sights into an area is the primary way the gun should be used.

There's a specific action that earns the hardscoping title. ADS'ing is not hardscoping. Sitting around a corner while holding scope for 10+ seconds at a time is considered hardscoping. It's a bitch tactic while using the most powerful weapon in the game. Same BS as corner camping shotgunners.
