The Loch Ranoch Isles Capitol: Loch Tay, located in Gourok A series of small Islands of varying sizes, all centered around a massive island. Once in a state of civil conflict, the islands are now united under a single government. Laurencekirk(about the size of Norway and Sweden together) is the largest island and needless to say houses the most inhabitants, to the southeast the smaller identical islands of Wick and Desidee. Both islands of industry and production, making things from furniture and ships in Wick and Desidee being abundant in farms producing all sorts of herbs and plants. And to the northeast of Laurencekirk is Gourok, the second largest landmass nicknamed minor kirk, serves as hub central for international trade and also serves as a popular tourist site due to it's vast beaches instead of Laurencekirks rocky terrain. Ruling: In The Lach Ranoch Isles, money talks. The isles are ruled by an allegiance of multiple noble and wealthy families, each specializing in a different trade of it's own. The system is tense, but competition between the families is what keeps it stable and free of corruption most times, lest a family lose it's influence of the land to another. Their own avarice keeps them honest in an ironic twist of events. Military: The Isles surrounding and exclusion was a blessing in disguise. Years of adaptation and production has given the isles nothing less than the most adequate ships to be designed by any nation. The seas are an uncharted and dangerous territory that bows to no mans whim, where piracy and banditry are abundant, and the Ranochans have adapted accordingly. Although Ronachan foot soldiers are rumored to be infamously clumsy on land, their naval strength and technology is undisputed.
