So title says it all. Finally was able to get the surgery done. Besides residual surgery pain and such I have limited to no sciatic nerve pain. I did have a tough time post surgery controlling the pain, went thru the PCA pump way to quick. That being on constant oxycodones , nausea meds and such it is messing up my digestive system. Any tips for recovery that helped yourselves? Also post here if you are going into back surgery or looking into it and I can give you ideas of what its like

Yogurt is quite good for settling digestive problems. Lots of healthy bacteria. Green tea soothes stomach aches as well. (Actual green tea, not bottles sugary green tea) don't have much other advice. Plenty of other home-based remedies out there. Just be careful with the meds. Chances are your body will be addicted to them when you're taken off them. My dad had a few back surgeries and got hooked on the stuff. Took him down a bad path after a while.

I had back surgery when I was seven. Not fun. Not fun at all.
