See that is the problem. Killing the boomer is easy but people will sometimes miss their shots and that is why we always have the wingman. Two snipers will ensure its death. If the first shot hits you are good. The power holder loses one second. If the first shot misses the power holder can take the second shot or help defend off adds while the brand carrier takes a 2nd or third shot. It makes mistakes more manageable and allows room for error. People that don't follow this easy rule usually results in several wipes with a group of randoms. This measure may seem pointless when all your teammates can snipe the boomer in the first shot but if you get a team that constantly wipes you will know why. This always seems to be the main reason why people die at totems. They don't watch their teammates back. Whats better? Spending 12-20 seconds of extra time on totems or constantly wiping over and over again because you don't want to watch your brand carriers back while he gets off a shot. If everyone followed this rule and left their elitist attitude at the door people would never get stuck here. Im not saying you're an elitist but I have met quite a few when I suggest this method when the team struggles at this one spot. It doesn't matter what side you are on. It will be hard regardless if you don't have teammates all putting in a team effort to kill and watch each others back.
Last but not least. This method also eliminates that glitch where the brand is not passed on when the power is switched over. It -blam!-ing happens. You are lucky if it hasn't happened to you yet.
