Since i spend most of time in the crucible i'd like to share, what i think are the top 5 guns for PVP as of the taken king version 2.1.0.
5) The Doctrine of passing - I think a lot of people until recently have under-estimated high rate of fire auto rifles. But since the latest version of destiny(2.1.0.), gave way for the opportunity for auto rifles to be viable again in the crucible, auto rifles were mostly ignored. But the doctrine melts your health away, making it solid auto rifle for the crucible.
4)Conspiracy Theory-D - Despite bungie constantly attacking the effectiveness of shotguns their still good!. The Conspiracy Theory-D(The successor of the felwinter's lie) is probably the most common and most effective shotgun in the current meta, due to the quest "Never ending battle" giving away a copy of this gun with godlike perks.
3)1000 Yard Stare - The best all around sniper rifle for both PVE and PVP. The vanguard quarter master hands over a 1000-yard stare with great perks for only 150 legendary marks. And the most important part of a sniper thats gonna be used for crucible purposes, is that it can kill on revival, and the 1000-yard stare has you covered!
2)The last Word - High rate of fire, high damage output hand canon. The last word is unique and special, the way it shoot, design, and the way it handles. Now in my opinion it's a acquired taste, to sit down and get really good with this gun, but those who do are a force to reckoned with.
1)Mida Multi-Tool - Out of all the scout rifles I've experimented with in PVP, nothing seems to out performs the Mida as far as Well Roundedness. 4 shot precision kill, bonus agility, hair trigger fire rate. If you want to love and use scout rifles and be really competitive with them then the Mida definitely has your back.

In my opinion, mida is the poor man's tlaloc. It can 4 shot kill to the head at a very quick time. Compared to the archetype of scouts like hung jury, it can 4 shot kill but slower. I honestly think mida needs to move up to that type of scout or move down to the inward lamp archetype. Tlaloc is fine bc it is a trade off. No super to active over flow. As for the thorn, get rid of it. 3 body shot kill with no headshot? We are lucky its not in year 2 but there is still people using it.
