Friend showed me this just before Challenge Modes came out. Took forever to explain, then longer to set-up. Tryed it reluctantly, told him it was very easy to do the regular way and that I was concerned for the ability of the group to do the rest of the raid. Everyone insisted. When we finally finished totems, I just had to stop and explain that if they get used to the cheese, they wouldn't be able to do it if it was patched. Explained what happened with Aetheon and the "grenade/push him off cheese" and how it was almost impossible to find a group to complete Hard VoG once Bungie patched it. Same with Crota and the "pull the Ethernet plug cheese." Akso, many groups didn't know how to build the bridge. I know sometimes everybody doesn't have TIME to raid every week, especially on all 3 toons, but we are losing the KNOWLEDGE and CAPABILITY to complete raids without the cheese!
p.s. Cheesing the totems doesn't save time. It only helps if you have lower levels you're carrying who are incapable of sniping knights and clearing everything else rushing at you. You can keep them in the middle backed up by 3 others, while your more experienced players can go to totems and take out the knights.
