If you're still on these forums after leaving Destiny, and you weren't here when Halo was still Bungie's game, you have no reason to be here.
Common excuses:
"Oh I just come for the salt."
If you were so unsatisfied with Destiny that you needed to come to the forums and see others complain about it to enjoy yourself, you sound like the salty one.
"I'm trying to convince people to stop playing this shitty game"
Nobody's gonna listen, ok. We're as addicted to this game as you are to the forums. Just leave us to make our own decisions about the game. If we were as unsatisfied as you we woulda left already.
To me you all seem like ex-smokers that stay around the smoking permitted areas to make fun of people who still have a problem.

Edited by solistian: 1/13/2016 4:01:58 PMI'm slowly leaving and I come to the forums to see people ideas and all the salt. How does that mean IM the salty one? P.S. Why should you feel so compelled to have a problem with people saying they're leaving? They just say they're leaving?... They just want to share that because it's a community (if the person posting it feels that way, which some post makes it seem like they do) But all they get is "No one is going to miss you -blam!-head" "No one cares" "Great! Another idiot away from this game!"

I keep coming here because it's the easiest way to keep up with my clan. I've already gotten 2 to quit and join me on much better games. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't even try to help those kick a very dangerous addiction. Also, it seems to annoy you. So it's a twofer.
-
I keep coming here for the free cookies... Oh wait, I still play Destiny. Nevermind.
-
Hmmm tacos
-
I still play. Must admit, it's more of an addiction than anything. Most people are PROBABLY in the same boat but refuse to admit it, just a hunch. I must say though, if i quit? I might very well peruse the forums for quite a while after quitting. The forum for the game is just as addictive as the game itself. Absolutely bizarre. Again, i don't think i'm alone. I think a lot of people are on the forums as much if not more than they are on the game. But, when i finally get this monkey off my back i won't come on here and try to get people to leave or bash the game. That's pointless. Trolling old people in the Yahoo news section is way way more satisfying if you're in themood for that kiind of entertainment. Batshit crazy, almost every one of them.
-
I don't go around and talk about how I quit like others do, but I do stick around and check weekly updates and posts to see if there will be anything to get me to play a little more. I just need some new content tbh. Also, getting reactions out of people on here can be great for passing the time.

What happens is, after spending so much time on these forums, the body gets used to extremely high amounts of salt. When the amount of salt takes a sudden drop, they experience symptoms such as: vomiting Headache Confusion Loss of energy Fatigue Restlessness and irritability Muscle weakness, spasms or cramps As a result they must return to the forums to continue to get the same amount of salt and alleviate these symptoms

#off-topic and everything else exist for a reason
-
i think they think they are sticking it to the man. once you already bought the game you blew that.
-
For many, the forums have become the most enjoyable aspect of the game/community.
-
Bored in class
-
Because we have overcome a severe addiction that brought nothing positive into our lives at one point. That is something to be very proud of!
-
I'm here since halo... So yeah.
-
I've put a lot of time in the game. It's hard to just let go. I've put my destiny disc back in its metal case, and back into the collectors box. it's such a pain to get it back out too. So I really don't play at all anymore.
-
It's entertaining seeing posts from people like you though lol
-
*Ooooh*
-
Because they're lonely and the want people to notice them.
-
I tried to leave, but I can't live without salt. ू꒰ꇐωꇐ ू꒱
-
I'm bored
-
I stay here because: a. I'm interested in seeing if they change anything to make it worth powering on again. b. Work blocks most gaming sites but this one gets through the proxy so I'm kinda stuck.
-
Edited by AKaotikRobot: 1/13/2016 7:17:28 AMI only quit because I and my friends run out of content. I still love this game and have the right to browse these forums without anyone saying 'You shouldn't be here because you quit Destiny.'
-
Edited by Mr_Solo: 1/13/2016 1:28:46 PMWhy are proud of playing a video game(, at which you aren't even good at tbh)? Edit: By the wayI AM QUITTING! PRAISE ME!!
-
I'm proud because I beat the addiction. I stay on the forums because it is entertaining.(more so than the game imho)
-
I keep seeing "they are proud they beat the addiction". But really they haven't they are simply replacing their game addiction for a forum addiction of what they was addicted to. Then again you could compare the forums as a support group for former Destiny gamers?
-
true, most of the time, occasionally though there'll be a good post, be it anti or pro game, majority of crap posts come from anti game types, although i believe the best, most original, well thought out and written post i've read (up to now) was from someone who's stopped, deleted chars but still browses on here, so it's a little much to ask experienced players with good understanding and knowledge of game, to stay away just because they chose to pack in, selfish imo.

I'VE GOT A HUGE HAND!!!
