I know I know I know! I'm crazy for even asking this question! MIDA all the way....right?! Listen, I've been a staunch MIDA user/supporter ever since it came out and MIDA year 2 is even better; but cleaning out my vault I came across my Boolean Gemini and I think I like it...better!!! Hear me out: Boolean Gemini has significantly more impact than MIDA and also slightly more stability and range (the widely accepted 3 most important stats - it hits harder, hits more accurately, and with less drop-off) . The mag size is basically equal at 19 vs. 21so that's a wash in my mind. MIDA has higher RoF and reload which means more shots down range - but with the impact drop-off compared to Boolean I don't think that makes up for the DPS (or kills per mag or whatever your stat of choice might be). I've done multiple DPS checks of my own and Boolean just outperforms MIDA. Also my raid gauntlets have scout rifle reloader so the reload rate of Boolean (which isn't terrible to begin with) doesn't really hurt all that much either. Now, where MIDA is a clear winner is the perks. Radar all the time is nice, the agility boost is unbelievable, and the hair trigger is pretty nice for squeezing off a ton of rounds. But as a hunter who runs Armor/Agility I don't necessarily need the extra agility and the radar isn't always a must...if I really need it I have knucklehead for that. Boolean on the other hand has the armor boost for non precision kills and agility boost for precision kills which I think is pretty underrated. I always aim for precision kills but let's be honest we don't ALWAYS hit and so when you don't you still get a little armor boost (x3 stack for 15 seconds btw which has saved my life more than a few times...) I'll always love my MIDA and I'll use it a lot but am I crazy for making Boolean my go-to exotic scout rifle!? I want to hear what you all think!
