So we had srl, and that was fun, at least most people thought so, except for the record book.. So with something like srl being possible, this doesnt seem like that much of a stretch to do be able to do Im thinking of a timed crucible event (like srl, or IB) It might sound crazy,, but we have the mayhem modes and those turned out amazing So how about a crucible mode, id think clash would be the best but it could be anything really or even rotate each time the event came back anyway it would be called "The Life Exotic" yep, you guessed it. a mode where you could have as many exotic armors and weapons equipped as you wanted Light level advantage should be disabled like a standard crucible match, the most obvious reason being: people would just keep their legendary gear on which is most likely higher light and have too large an advantage. Disabling the level advantage would encourage people to equip all their exotics Maybe have the game mode last like 2 weeks. You know how everyone has been clamoring for you to make year 1 stuff relevant again? well with the level advantage disabled, u could use all your year 1 exotics again! The hardest part about this event would be the rewards. as fun as it is, players would want it to be worth it. and you have to tailor the rewards to the event. as far as end of game rewards and reward packages when a new rep rank is achieved, the most obvious would be exotic shards. motes and strange coins too since they are used to buy exotics from xur. Id say either rarely end of game, or exclusively in the rep rank packages, exotic drops at 300 light. why 300? well you can get schematics at 280, xur sells at 290, and occassionally engrams/nightfalls will drop them at 310, so 300 isnt a terrible level. most consistent players have characters over 300 light already, so its not like its gonna raise anyone up much. And outside the event, you still can only equip 1 exotic at a time so its not like this is gonna give anyone a bunch of OP gear. putting it at 300 really just helps people skip part of the arduous process that is infusing low light exotics, now ur probably thinking, thats not many rewards, the players may not think its worth it. after all, srl dropped up to 320 helms and class items, not to mention legendary sparrows and the new horns, and multiple armor sets So to make it more worth it, make the faction and crucible reputation gained from each match completion increased. like majorly increased. One of the biggest problems plaguing this game right now is reputation gains, they are so damn low across the board. Id say at least double, but preferably triple(or more) the crucible and faction rep gains from match completion. As for the rep gained for the event, that can be the standard level. Similar to IB and SRL, you can make specifically tailored bounties for it that raise the event rep, and grant legendary marks. Id also say just like SRL, make it so there is no limit to the event rep rank u can achieve, and u get a reward package every rank starting at 3. Grinding out the rep for the event wont be so bad, when your getting increased rep for faction and crucible as well. keeps it all worth it. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. Doesnt seem like it would have any negative consequences post-event. Oh i almost forgot. DONT ADD ANY MICRO-TRANSACTIONS RELATED TO THE EVENT. that record book thing was dumb. and 5 bucks for a sparrow? come on. no more of that. try and give the community less to complain about. All in all, i think it would be a successful, well received event.
