not the helmets fault if you can't utilize the perks properly.
Not the helmets fault. Copy that. It is the users own responsibility to properly use the perks of the gear. Thank you for that revelation. So Symbiote is fine and people need to git gud? Okay a little harsh, but whatever you say.
You forgot the part where I said the helm of inmost light doesn't take anything away from the super unlike the symbiote.
Think of it this way. You equip the helm of st 14. Put the bubble up but the moment an enemy walks in, the bubble drops. That's the trade off to wear the exotic.
Or using the helm of inmost light. Sure you get DFA and Headstrong but while using the helmet, you no longer create an aoe where you hit. You have to directly hit your enemy while using the exotic.
Or the Peregrine Greaves. Sure, using shoulder charge in the air with them equipped gives 3x damage. But you only have a second to actually use the shoulder charge before getting a running start again.
Would you bother using an exotic which significantly weakens the thing it effects?
Exotics are supposed to be a direct increase in power because the trade off to using an exotic is that you can't equip another one. Yet they took an extremely situational exotic that wasn't overpowered ever in Y1 and made it a net loss overall to use.
You should be afraid because if bungie is using this exotic as a test, then they might be planning to make trade offs for ALL exotics.
