The Intrigued Hacker
Computers and wires line the wall of the small confined space. Transmitters and antennae's litter any open space and shelves. Empty bottles of water and other assorted refreshments fill the waste baskets and scatter across the floor. A woman sits in a spinning office chair and leans over a microphone. She begins transmitting a message over a secret radio signal.
"Be careful my FWC friends and allies. The Consensus doesn't trust us or our methods, soon they'll send their Concordat watch dogs after us. I've managed to hack into their system and found that their leader, Lysander, has approved a secret op. They're recruiting their best minds and agents and forming some sort of team. They look to silence us, they fear our power of seeing into the future. The FWC will rise to the Consensus' good graces. You'll never see us..." The woman is quickly startled and cut off by a nearby door being opened. In the doorway stood Leon and Shay watching and smiling. "coming?" She finishes.

The woman finds herself shackled to a table in the middle of a large metallic room. The low drone of a bright light above is the only noise that can be heard. She struggles to break free from the shackles when Shay and Leon enter the room. Shay takes a seat at the table, across from her.
"Abi Asiata, Future War Cult hacktivist." Shay says with a smile.
"You guys are making a big mistake." Abi replies, trying to appear threatening.
"Hmmm, you don't seem that big." Leon's Ghost replies floating close to her.
"Neither do you." She retorts, lightly pushing the Ghost away. Leon's Ghost expands his shell, is if trying to puff its chest.
"Calm down." Leon replies, "Sorry it's just we don't trust your group."
"The feelings are mutual." Abi replies and she relaxes into her chair and crosses her arms.
"Okay, there are two ways we can do this." Leon replies crossing his arms as well.
"Oh. Is one the easy way?" Abi snarkly replies.
"No." Leon answers.
"Oh." Abi says uncrossing her arms, now feeling intimidated.
"Leon, what are you doing?" Shay turns and asks.
"Yes, what are you doing?" Shay's Ghost asks as well.
"Sorry sir, these hacker types always get under my skin."
"Look, we want you on our team." Shay says turning to Abi.
"You evil, faceless government tool bags are all the same....wait, what?" Abi says leaning forward in her seat.
"You're abilities make you a powerful asset, we'd love to have you be a member." Shay replies.
"You'll have to leave you're insane Vex mind hopping buddies behind though." Leon sternly comments.
"Think about it, you'll be part of one hell of a show." Shay says with a smile.
"Sir I just received terrible news from the Consensus, and our first mission." Shay's Ghost says cutting off the conversation.
"Until you decide, we're done." Shay says getting up and leaving the room, along with Leon. They exit into a long hall that leads to the lounge of their secret base. "What's the mission Ghost?"
"We're being invaded sir, but not by the Fallen, by something much more vile. They're calling them, the Hive." His Ghost answers
"The Hive?" Leon's Ghost questions.
"Yes, a species of extraterrestrial life we've never encountered before." Shay's Ghost responds.
"Ready to dive into hell, Guardian?" Shay says turning to Leon.
