So I was thinking about the whole feminist thing after watching some video on YouTube, and I can't help but think, "Is chivalry no longer a thing?"
Now let me get this straight, I'm not about hitting or abusing women, but then again no one should be getting beat up or anything. I feel as if a lot of guys nowadays might believe that all these women who want to be treated like guys and act like guys are a bit contradictory because they act like they're another guy but fall apart when the reaction they get isn't how women used to be treated.
So my question is that do you think that feminists are killing chivalry by wanting to be so equal to men?

Edited by Recon Number 54: 1/11/2016 1:41:15 PMIt is (IMO) "dead" in the fact that both its initial purpose (to give violent medieval men a code of conduct to keep from killing innocents at whim) and its later inference that it was a way for "proper gentlemen to behave when it came to the more fair and weaker sex" are no longer socially relevant or necessary. I believe that the modern standards of common courtesy and mutual respect for the dignity of others has taken its place and doesn't require gender roles in order to be beneficial to everyone involved.
