Eric woke up by hitting his head on the metal bar protruding from the wall only a few inches from his head, displaced there by the explosion. After a grunt and a few invectives, he slowly drags himself from the corner that he was slumped in, and takes a look around him. The Avalon, or rather, the section that remains of it, had been torn to shreds when it crash landed, and Eric looks through the torn opening that was once a wall, overlooking the ground twenty meters below.
Eric runs his hands up and down his body to check himself: no significant injuries, but a few bruises. His trusty P226 was still strapped to his ankle, and he half-cocked it as he steps out into the open.

He hears a cold and metallic voice a few feet behind him. "Don't fall." The words are accompanied by a light push from a gloved hand on his back.
-
Eric lets out a brief yell, as he didn't expect anyone behind him, yet some reflexes he learned in the Academy took over. He hooked his leg behind his assailant's leg and tugs, knocking them out from underneath him, and draws his pistol, "Who the hell are you?"

Edited by Will: 1/10/2016 1:42:46 AMThe figure lands in a back handspring, and flips backwards, landing on his feet. "Nice moves kid." The figure stands at about 6'2", clad in slim black armor and a demonic looking mask, with a yin-yang symbol over two crossed swords on his breastplate. He wears three katanas at his hip; one is a brilliant white and gold, the second is a complete and all black, and the third is an olive green with a dragon head hilt. As he moves his arm; a coiled red cobra sits on the inside of his wrist. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/79/c6/93/79c693f7ec222954c46981bd8f21d417.jpg http://www.365airsoftshop.com/images/airsoft_mask/Japanese%20Ghost%20King%20samurai%20Mask%20Gold.jpg

Eric slowly relaxes, realizing that if this figure had wanted him dead, that his body would be smeared on the sand below. He puts down his weapon and holsters it. He's shorter, perhaps 5'11 or so, and doesn't look older than 18. Dark black hair covers tan skin, and a face perpetually smirking, "Thanks. Who're you?"
-
"Call me Ronin." He says, crossing his arms over his chest. He moves with confidence and power, yet grace. As if every movement maximizes efficiency. If death could be elegant, this man was his living incarnate.
-
Eric, on the other hand, looked like he had been through quite a bit of trauma. There was blood caked to his head, as well as several shallow lacerations on his face. Still, his eyes burned with something that startled you... He moves forward and extends a hand in greeting, his pistol holstered at his side, "Eric, Eric Stratos. Pleasure."
-
He shakes his hand with a firm grip, and rests it on the hilts of his three swords in a non-threatening gesture. Three swords...strange. "Looks like you've been put through it Eric."
-
"Eh, this ship... Whatever the hell this is, kicked my ass pretty good. Where are we?" Eric shakes his head, and seems confused as he looks around his surroundings. "And why the hell do you have three swords?"
-
"To kill things. Typically what swords are used for." He says, and the smirk in his tone is practically heard through the mask.
-
Eric's thoughts were something along the lines of would it kill you if I shoved it up your arrogant ass?, yet he began to find himself smirking alongside the man in front of him. He still had no idea where he was going, but hopefully this guy would know if there was a settlement nearby. "Hey, Ronin, is there any rendezvous point nearby? Surely there are other survivors."
-
"Yeah, there are other survivors. And an FN camp a few miles from here."
-
"Well, then what're we waiting for?" Eric makes his way towards the opening, wrapping a wire around his wrist and attaching it to a thick pole. Then, he begins to rappel down the ship's side, until he jumps down with around twelve feet left.
-
Ronin jumps out of the ship in a free fall, passing Eric on the way down. About 3 feet from the ground, Ronin's figure blurs and he stands on his feet in a cloud of dust.
-
Edited by Spyglass: 1/10/2016 6:00:38 PM"Huh..." Eric looks at Ronin for a second with what appears to be envy, and then turns around and makes his way towards a different part of the ship. "When I was up there, I estimated that the Hangar would be near the ground, over there." He points towards an opening in the ship, "The larger ships will be damaged, but there should be a few two-person hovercraft that could take us to that point, maybe a vertibird or two."
Is this before Venom, or after Venom?
-
After.
Ronin walks towards him. "Or we can just get there a different way."
-
"Yeah, but we'd get to scout some territory, and I'm sure that they could use a few birds in the air, eh?" Eric crawls into the massive hangar, and slowly clambers into the cockpit of a Vertibird. He looks over at you and says something, yet it comes out indistinct, as a striking thought comes to you. Something Schrader showed you, back in your Venom days, a being known as Matthew Hallwinter. The resemblance was too much for it to be coincidental.
-
Ronin freezes as he looks Eric over again. He did look strikingly similar to Hallwinter.. Son, little brother maybe? "Eric!" Ronin calls, stepping into the hangar.
-
He stops climbing in, and looks at you, "Yeah?"
-
"What's the name Matthew Hallwinter mean to you?"
-
"Hallwinter?..." There's a flicker in his eyes, but nothing more. Still, it's enough to realize that he's lying. "Never heard of him. C'mon, let's go."
-
Ronin walks over and climbs in alongside him, filing a mental note to question him about it later.
-
Edited by Spyglass: 1/10/2016 7:47:48 PM
Sorry, I'm still kinda busy. I'll try replying when I can
The Vertibird began to hover, and with expert ease, Eric got it shooting out of the hanger. It began to hover over the dunes, until the ship's spyglass focused in on the settlement camp a few miles away, and set a marker on the bird's HUD. "So, tell me about yourself. Why were you on the Avalon, all that."
-
"Pilot?" Ronin questions, noticing the ease he manipulates the craft with.
no problem.
-
"I thought that you-... Never mind, I'll go first. Yeah, top of the class, Imperial Academy of Caridia. It's a planet over by the Deep Core, in the Inner Rim. Of course, FN and the Empire being enemies, let's try not to make my past very well known." He shrugs and sets the Vertibird on autopilot, as he starts walking towards the back of the ship, looking for something. "Now it's your turn."
-
"To what, play story time?" his eyes follow him.
