AFKing in STRIKES
Unlocked my quest for the New Monarchy Exotic class item on my Warlock yesterday. Ran my 10 strikes in Heroic and I noticed something. Almost every strike had someone AFK and grab rewards at the end. Some guys were trying to be clever and would scoot forward, shoot, then hide once we engaged the enemy. Heroic strikes aren't ball-busting, but running them with only 2 as opposed to a full team can be painful.
The worst strike I had by far had a guardian named (had to remove name but will post vid tomorrow). If you see him in strikes, just leave. If you see him in crucible, own him. This piece of siht did nothing but tuck himself into corners and shoot only when we were looking. He was completely absent and hiding in a nook in the wall at the boss. Then when the boss died, guess what dropped?

I had as many assists as he had kills.(29, I had 139 kills at the end) And he gets the one gun I still haven't managed to get. Bungie, you need to do something to stop people from cruising through strike playlists and reaping the rewards because this is stupid. And it's like this a for almost every strike I join.

I do my best to get as many thing shooting in that person direction, or if I can I will pull out my sparrow and hand out some SRL justice. It was worse when you were able to get exotic drops from the strikes. People sit on there dicks and get rewarded, thanks Cozmo!

If I'm farming solo and I see a fellow farmer legitimately trying to get shit done, I'll always message to join up and attempt to make a temporary team. Strikes w/ randoms is usually a royal toothache.

Surprisingly in Y2 I've rarely come across guys who go AFK. Although I rarely run heroic strikes

It was the black spindle mission this guy was doing nothing once we got to the taken part he went AFK we kept restarting the mission he would do the same thing after 5 attempts he left and sent me a message saying you all suck get skilled I laughed and sent him a message saying you AFK fag

At the end of the house of wolves strike, I forget what it was called, me and my friend were doing a nightfall, we were both 285 light and trying to get our light up, so this guy was AWESOME throughout teh strike. I would die in the middle of enemies and he clutched revived and basically soloed half the strike because me and my friend sucked then. At the every end, we we're ready to fight that one fallen boss, and he goes afk. He was gone. We waited 15 minutes then he finally came back and we finished the strike. It was horrible

4 RepliesIf you need to afk for any reason ie kids crying etc... Just give a wave and sit down for a second or 2, I've had to do it once or twice and send the fellas I'm on with a message to apologise once I get back on with an explanation, never been much of a problem if I did that.

A guy tried to go afk on me on the dust palace strike in that big two tiered room where you wait for dinkleb-I mean nolanbot to open the second door. He did the "sit" emote up by the door near the top and didn't move. I killed every add except one centurion and used my sword to push him in front of its fire line since it was staying on the bottom for some reason. I had fun watching him die, reviving him, then watching him die again, and so forth for a while. I took a short video of myself dancing after each death but didn't know how to send it to him. I left after that. Nobody gets anything. Little -blam!-er

I just report them and carry on. If enough people do that, they'll end up banned.

I had a guy who was always looking straight up and slowly walking forward. You could tell he just put rubber bands on his controllers and left... He couldn't get kicked for inactivity because his character was still moving. He lack of a third teammate caused us to wipe a few times as well. I reported him, but that doesn't seem to do anything.

4 RepliesFirst off, I think there's a rule on the forums about name and shame. Anyways, I feel your pain. I hate when people go AFK. It's extremely annoying, and there should be a way to stop that from happening.

Yesterday i was playing a few strikes to try and get the strike specific gear and maybe some exotics, 4 times i had to solo the strike because teammates just afked. On the 4th and last time the afk got the treads upon stars :(

14 RepliesI have a newborn, so if I'm trying to get my destiny fix, it's usually on strikes that I go AFK for a bit if he's crying or whatever. But it's cool cuz RGN never hooks me up lol.

I WAS KILLED BY A HOBGOBLIN! *thunder and lightning* I then attempted to solo the boss again... He's almost dead... And guess what happens?! THEY RETURN FROM AFC! One got imago and the other,an exotic...i only get 2 rares...
