AFKing in STRIKES
Unlocked my quest for the New Monarchy Exotic class item on my Warlock yesterday. Ran my 10 strikes in Heroic and I noticed something. Almost every strike had someone AFK and grab rewards at the end. Some guys were trying to be clever and would scoot forward, shoot, then hide once we engaged the enemy. Heroic strikes aren't ball-busting, but running them with only 2 as opposed to a full team can be painful.
The worst strike I had by far had a guardian named (had to remove name but will post vid tomorrow). If you see him in strikes, just leave. If you see him in crucible, own him. This piece of siht did nothing but tuck himself into corners and shoot only when we were looking. He was completely absent and hiding in a nook in the wall at the boss. Then when the boss died, guess what dropped?

I had as many assists as he had kills.(29, I had 139 kills at the end) And he gets the one gun I still haven't managed to get. Bungie, you need to do something to stop people from cruising through strike playlists and reaping the rewards because this is stupid. And it's like this a for almost every strike I join.

Don't do that shit around me. I'm petty. I'll push you into the line of fire and res you repeatedly. A random and I got one slacker killed so many times in the Cerberus Vae strike he had a negative k/d at the end. We all ended up in the next strike together and he immediately left.

4 RepliesStep 1: get on sparrow Step 2: ram Afk into darkness area. Step 3: allow ads to kill the afk. Step 4: res the afk. Step 5: rinse and repeat steps 3-4 for maximum effect.

I just leave at first sign of troll of afk. Couldn't handle seeing them get a better reward than me

I pretty much did most of the Omnigul strike myself. The two guardians didn't move when we landed and I did wait for them. I got 259 kills and the other two got 42 and 56. It really annoys me when someone joins and goes AFK or does half the strike and leaves.

When someone is afk, I take a seat next to them and don't move until they do. If they're doing stupid stuff, like taking pot shots only when people are looking, I make sure to follow them throughout the rest of the strike.

When players go inactive I just start killing them with either my sparrow or pushing them off a cliff. They eventually start playing the strike or leave because I kill them so much lol.

Tbh, there should be a petition to add an ability to vote to kick player that is not in a fireteam which works for strikes and crucible (not IB, Rumble, or ToO) and only boot players on same team. If not this, reduce the time of being afk to kick to 5 mins

3 RepliesI would honestly prefer players go AFK rather than run ahead. Personally, I like to [i]play[/i] the game, not run past it.

1 ReplyAs a person who has done 1500+ strikes I can tell you that this has been going on since day 1. It wasn't as bad then because there wasn't strike specific drops or 3oC. Point is Bungie doesn't give a shit. It's a problem that has been around since Destiny's inception and they have never done anything to fix it. It is very annoying and I always leave and report people even though it probably doesnt do diddly in the middle of little italy
