as of now it seems we have 3 types of perks in destiny
[b][u]Kill Perks[/u][/b] - activated after a kill
[b][u]Proc Perks[/u][/b] - activated on completion of an action
[b][u]Support Perks[/u][/b] - activated all the time or during certain instances
current weapons have an issue where their perk sets are very messy and disregard any form of choice outside a select few being truly useful in combat but i have a solution to this.
to solve this issue weapons need only follow a simple model to start with
[u][b]Scope or Barrel 1[/b][/u] - [b][u]Kill Perks[/u][/b] - [b][u]Proc perk[/u][/b] - [b][u]Support[/u][/b] - [b][u]Support[/u][/b]

with this method to start with customization become more diverse as well as more interesting with the inclusion of 1 of each perk type allowing more interesting combat choices and the use of minor perks such as shoot to loot or vacuum without loosing out on a stronger perk like outlaw or firefly.
