Let's talk about emblems; The Guardian Lords

Hello Guardians, forum members, and all others. Today I want to talk about something, again, that perplexes me almost daily. (Long post, there is a TL;DR at the bottom) Emblems. In a game that was sold around the concept of everyone being able to be their own guardian and "legend", I continuously find myself wondering who it is that decides which activities get them and which do not. So let's start at the face value. What is an emblem? Emblems are the images shown on each guardians tag, that shows username, level and light level. Formerly it showed grimoire score, something I think should also be brought back. An emblem is an image tied to, on most occasions, the completion of certain feats. You know as a player what another player has done by their emblems. Be it the entry level class items, to oryx hard mode challenge emblems, you can gauge a player by the emblem they present. These range from a vast number of instances, including: completion of in game content (strikes, raids, challenge modes, sparrow racing. Events limited to inside the game world), to your renown in the old bungie forums, redeeming codes online, donating to the Nepal relief, and emblems handed out for participating in the game from the developers themselves. Note that already, not every emblem is available to every player due to restrictions that are currently not able to be met. Such as participation for years of being active in the old bungie forums. An emblem is a guardians identity. If not the most important part. Bungie, you actively incentives emblems as rewards for completing content in the game, and I agree with that. Often times the reward of an emblem is enough, if I think it will add to the display of my overall story. As a day 1 player, I've achieved every trophy on the PS4, which is the only console I play destiny on. For those that don't know, the Guardian Lord trophy is achieved only if the player has achieved every single trophy for Destiny in its pre-dlc form. Do remember that only The Taken King expansion brought new achievements, where The Dark Below and House of Wolves did not. The achievements alone are not easy either to finish. They range from simply hitting rank one with vanguard and crucible , hovering around only 50% of PlayStation 4 users, have not accomplished. To finishing raids on the hardest difficulty (30% of PS4 players), completing raids without anyone dying (6% of PS4 players) and everything content related in-between. I myself, am a Guardian Lord. I am part of only 5% of players in the game, according to the PlayStation Network Trophy statistics on PlayStation 4, to accomplish every trophy available in not only Destiny, but also in the Taken King, despite it having nothing to do with the achievement of that. That is my legend, my legacy, the thing Bungie sold me on when I first purchased this game. The ability to create my own legend. And yet, there's nothing to show for it. No shader, no ship, no sparrow, and no emblem. Nothing. There's nothing to display that I've accomplished this. There's nothing for me to show other day one guardians and new players alike that tells them, "this is a guardian who has done it all, this is someone who knows what to do, and could potentially be available to help me also accomplish my task or have advice.". I will give credit to Bungie on the Year 1 Triumph emblem. The Laurea Primea, I believe, was given to those who had done both highlights of the game as far as hard raid modes, crucible completion, and even finding all the golden chests. When released, I had already accomplished all of those, and actively spent time helping others do the same. So Bungie, Deej, Cozmo, and whoever else reads this, my request is this. Pursue the promise given to us at the beginning by giving those of us Guardian Lords an emblem. A moniker to show the Destiny universe what we have achieved on a level 95% of other players have not. That is my legend. I genuinely hope that one day I have a way of showing that. Thank you. TL;DR - Emblems are actively given as rewards for completing content. Guardian Lords are those who have completed every trophy/achievement available, not including The Taken King as its trophies do not count towards it, yet there's no reward at all. Please consider making something for us to display our achievements.
