Time's Vengeance
Tavern / The City / Earth
A cloaked figure slips into the crowd of one of the City's taverns. In the Tower, this would be considered unusual, but in the City in its shadow, ragged survivors have developed an eye for stranger events. Only one notices - a man alone in a booth, noticeably different than most Citizens. They've seen the Darkness, but not like he has, and they know this. The stranger approaches his booth, and slides into the opposite seat with a casual familiarity. The man raises his eyes.
"I thought your kind stayed in your Tower." He looks around. "You know, most of the people down here don't even believe in you."
The figure drops his hood, and a pair of orange eyes meet his.
"No... They don't."
"Neither do I."
The Exo's mechanical face rearranged into disappointment, animated by an art lost to humanity. "Jerrall... There's something we need to talk about. We need your help."
Jerrall stared deep into the Exo. "You need my help? What about when I needed yours? You left me for the Vex to win your Dare! For four years I was trapped in those jungles while you rotted in that Tower, not sending a single scout for my name! I should've known better after you abandoned Aryel on Olympus Mons. All you have left is Tevis - will you abandon him too?"
The Exo reeled. Something had struck a blow deep within him.
"That's... what I wanted to talk about."
Jerrall realized his offense. "No..."
"Tevis is gone, Jerrall. Taken by the Vex in the Black Garden. One of my Hunters found his Bow just recently. Aryel, Kiril, Talia, and now Tevis... we're all that's left."
"You're all that's left. I'm not going back out there. I left the Tower behind. I'm a man of the City now."
"Don't you want to protect this City? Look, I know I've done a lot of wrong in our time. But ever since the Dare, we've been almost... systematically targeted by the Vex. I can't leave the Tower - I'm stuck as a Mentor. But you can find out why. Avenge our brothers and sisters. Avenge Tevis."
Jerrall sighed. "Is it a even a choice at this point?"
The Exo smiled. "I knew you couldn't stay out of the field for this long. Your Ghost and equipment are still in your quarters. I'm giving you free reign over this one: recruit any help you need. The whole Tower is at your disposal. I think you know where to start."
"Thanks, Cayde."
The Tower / The City / Earth
"Welcome back." The familiar mechanized voice echoed throughout Jerrall's quarters. "I was afraid the Speaker was going to send me to find a new Guardian. I wasn't looking forward to another hundred years of searching debris."
"Yeah, yeah," Jerrall replied, fastening his gauntlets. "Where's the NitC?"
"I've kept them safe in transmat to avoid any loss of condition. Here they are."
The familiar rifle formed in Jerrall's hands - a dated model, discontinued by the Vanguard, but honored among newer, fresher Guardians. He walked out of his quarters and into the Tower Plaza, where the City below arose from its slumber. That luxury was lost to him once again.
"Ghost, open local communication channel 001. This is Jerrall Vandark. Calling any Guardians with a desire to investigate Vex structures and Minds across the System."
He approached the railing overlooking the City and gazed out at the Traveler, wondering what inspired it to offer him this second chance...

Jerrall inspected the Titan from toe to head. He never was fond of Titans, but if he shared his goal, he couldn't turn him away. It's about Tevis, and the others, not him. "Sure," he replied. "I'm not sure if we'll find Osiris, but we can't be sure of anything with the Vex. Good to have you."

Edited by Beast Fire 808: 1/9/2016 12:31:08 PMThe Titan smiled in approval. He noticed the other hunters of the group looking at him with almost disgust in there eyes. He's not bothered by it. He almost where's it like a badge of pride. But he knows that a fireteam needs to trust each other so he turns to Jerrall and says loud enough for all to hear. " I know you hunters don't like us titans to much but I'll make you one promise, that if you have my back I'll have yours twice as hard. You need a door knocked in, I'll do the knocking. You need a room cleared out I can slam it clear. And if you need a safe haven to heal I'll set up shop for you wherever we are. Trust me and I'll trust you.
-
Jerrall smiled. "Trust is earned among us, Titan... but I think you've got what it takes. Welcome aboard. We're heading to Olympus Mons on Mars to investigate where a friend of mine once fell. Presence there is still very heavy, so be ready." [Making another post for the location change and setup, cool? :)]

Takes a massive, steaming dump in Jerrall's mouth.

Thanks for the bump :D
-blam!-
-
I think you're mad.
-
I think you're pathetic...
-
That doesn't mean much from someone who gets butthurt from text online.
-
There's a difference between butt hurt and calling it like it is... But hey, keep talking and help out an aspiring writer. People like you are the only way I'm gonna get anywhere
-
Thanks for pointing that out. You're the butthurt one.
-
Only butt hurting here is yours. You're still bumping me up though, so please, continue to "troll" in the only way you know how, Although your game might need a bit of work. If you're going for the logical, unattached look, I'd suggest a more sophisticated approach. That means "trying to be smart," if you didn't know
-
Thanks for the bump :D -blam!-
It must suck to be objectively wrong.
-
Must suck to waste time attempting to troll :\
-
Attempting? You're too cute.
-
I'm not gonna stop replying just for the bumps haha
-
You do realize that your original comment doesn't get bumped unless I actually reply to it, right? Wrong again I'm afraid.
-
Oh no, someone is wrong on the Internet
-
Just pointing out a common trend with you.
-
That's great, are your parents proud? Did they print off a screenshot and put it up on your refrigerator?
-
I could ask the same thing about your autism-inducing rp.
-
I bet they would rather have had autism than you anyways
-
Synth, can you please stop? What your doing is disgusting and hurtful. Maybe you feel like a big man by showing off how smart you are, but wouldn't you be a bigger man if, instead of making arguments, you act civilized amongst this section of the community?

Thanks :D
