The Titan kept walking, completely ignoring Alice and Garuud. At the same time, what could only be the Titan's Ghost, appeared in a flash of blue particles over his shoulder.
"I don't like this place. It gives me the creeps." Said the Ghost.
"Everything Hive related gives you the creeps, Orion. Relax, we just stop whatever the Hive are doing down here and be done with it. Just another normal day!" Responded the Titan, sounding almost energetic.
"Sure, if you say so."
How did this Guardian know about the disturbance here? Who was this anyway? Anaxis took a step forward, standing alongside Alice and Garuud, blocking the Titan's path.
"Stop," he said sternly. "Who are you, and what's your business here?"
The Guardian didn't respond. Instead kept on moving forward, though they were all in his way, those golden slits for eyes staring right at them. Then a loud shriek filled the air, no doubt from a Wizard further in the structure.
"C'mon," said the Titan to his Ghost, before going into a sprint, heading right for them. But Anaxis was already moving to intercept him before that.
"Hey! I said who are-"
The moment he thought they were going to collide, the Titan merely fazed through him. He turned around, eyes locked onto the Titan with a confused and horrified expression. Said Titan even went through his two companions when he ran by.
As the Titan ran past the threshold of the opposite door, the room instantly became dark and silent again, with the Titan no where to be seen, not even heard from his footfalls.

Alice immediately sprinted towards the door he ran through, just as the darkness over came the room. She called over her shoulder. "We live in a strange world! Just accept it and run with it!" She catches up with the Titan, following him through every twist and turn.
-
"The things I do on a daily basis." He went to a full sprint, following Alice deeper into the structure. They went through dark halls, bended corners, seemingly for forever as they went deeper and deeper. Some areas having pieces of armor and ash scattered along the floor, along with scorch marks on the floor and walls, sometimes deep gashes in them. What happened here? Was this the guard? They finally met the end of the line as they all entered a massive circular room. The room was probably half the size than Shovoroth and Emaria's den, but it still quite big. All around them was evidence to a warzone, as armor, ash, rock littered the ground. In the middle of the room was a circular platform, with four arched spires curving inward, with a massive chain hanging down in the center above it, holding a large dull crystal in it's grasp. Or part of a crystal, seeing as the lower half of the thing looked very jagged as the rest of it was smooth.
-
" so, ghost titans and now raiders of the lost ark. I can certainly say this is not boring!" Garuud laughed as he moved into the room a little bit and looked around. "Someone had fun here."
-
"I think it's crystal clear-" Her grin widens when she sees the thing in the middle of the room. "-that the ghost and this thing are linked somehow."
-
"oh, that was punny! Get it reader? Because of the giant crystal? oh nevermind." Garuud turned towards Alice. "So, haunted crystal?"

-
"Yeah, haunted crystal. Either that, or he infused his soul into it." She take step closer to the crystal, reaching out to touch it. "I just wonder why no-one knows about this."
-
"Wait, don't!" But it was too late. At Alice's touch, the entire room became the ethereal state like the previous room. Now instead of a ruined room, it was a chamber teeming with activity. The crystal that lay on the podium was now high above it, fully intact, and glowing a bright ghastly green, with a collection of Deathsingers around it, chanting in their abominable language. Then he saw rank upon rank of Acolytes and Knights charging in his direction. Suddenly, the Titan from before fazed through him from behind, charging at the oncoming force with his sword in hand. But now the sword seemed to have come to life than before. The crystal embedded in the cross-guard shown a bright orange. The empty middle part of the blade was now completely filled with Solar energy, as the the edges of the blades were now completely engulfed in fire. The Titan came to the first Knight in his path. The Knight raised its cleaver high into the air, going for a downward slash. But instead of trying to block it, he went for a slash of his own. When the cleaver came down, he slashed his sword upward, meeting the cleaver, shattering it , and decapitated the Knight, all in one move. Then, before the rest of the party could get close, the Titan reared his sword arm back, then threw it like he would a hammer, the Solar sword sailed, blade pointed at the middle Knight. The moment it came into contact with the Knight's chest, the area in and around the Knight exploded in a inferno of fire that would put any Hammer of Sol to shame. More and more came at the Titan. The sword then changed from its fiery orange to an electric blue, as the blade itself became the very aspect of Arc power. The Titan boosted himself into the air, putting himself high above the army. He then began to slash rapidly at the air in front of him, leaving blue streaks in front of him wherever he slashed. Before the Hive could take action, the Titan then stabbed at the center of the blue array in front of him, the top of the sword pointing down at the Hive. The moment he did, a loud thunder clap echoed across the room, as lightning bolts erupted from each streak, striking at each victim below until everything below vanished into nothingness.
-
Alice turned and leaned against the crystal with her arms crossed. "This guy is awesome." She says as the Titan continues slaughtering the hive. "But if there's no legends told around bars about you, then that means you died in here, doesn't it?" She says this to the Titan with a smile on her lips.
-
" I want one....." Garuud said eyes wide. ' Can... can we make one of those? I have two solar swords.... but nothing like that..." ( mature voice) " indeed! That would extensionally increase our killing potential." (Child voice) " I need some alone time in the bathroom."

Edited by Zalamiir: 1/8/2016 2:50:58 AMThe Titan landed on the ground soon after unleashing his chaotic storm, the blade of his sword still surging with Arc energy as random bolts of lightning shot out at random. But when he did, the Hive had already recovered and surrounded him on all sides. And before the Titan could react, every Acolyte and Knight fired their Boomers, while the Wizards attacked with their own magical volley. The fuller of the Titan's sword immediately lost its electric blue energy, becoming a bright purple instead, the edges of the blade becoming an almost ethereal form of Void energy. At the last second before the incoming barrage would impact, the Titan quickly raised his free hand into the air, instantly summoning a Ward of Dawn around him. The barrage impacted, but of course did nothing to the indestructible Void dome. An ear piercing shriek sounded shortly after, as Thrall came out of the Hive ranks, coming out like blood from an open wound to the center for their prey. That was when the Titan did something Anaxis thought impossible. He lowered himself to the ground, putting his hand into the small tornado like vortex that focused itself at the center of every Ward a Titan summoned. A second later, the entire Void dome rapidly grew smaller and smaller, until it seemed like it would collapse any second. But instead it came around the Titan, reshaping itself around his body until it formed a secondary personal shield around the Titan. This Titan, somehow, made his Ward of Dawn act like a Force Barrier! Then the Thrall were upon him. The Titan swung and slashed at each one that came to him, his sword leaving a purple aura in its wake. The aura seemed to act as a weapon as well, as any Thrall that ran through it were instantly sliced in half and reduced to ash. The Thrall that managed to, clawed at every side that the Titan seemed to have left unprotected, but they did nothing as the personal Ward of Dawn held against the onslaught. Seeing that the Thrall were doing nothing, the surrounding Hive immediately charged into the fray. Soon after, the Titan cut down the last of the Thrall, and looked about at the wave of death closing in. The Titan twirled his sword around in his hand, holding it outward. He then raised it high into the air, and brought it down, stabbing the ground beneath him, the blade going through the hadium floor as if it were paper. A wave of Void energy exploded outward from the Titan, throwing everything within its reach into the air. Everything from stray armor, to the charging Hive floated in place for three seconds as if all gravity around the Titan was turned off, before a chorus of sickening 'cracks' sounded all throughout the room. Each thing caught in the Void explosion, armor, rock, or Hive was turned to dust. Anaxis just watched in slight awe and horror as to what just happened. That Titan used the power of his Void sword to send a blast throughout the room, turning off the gravity, then made each and every thing caught in the blast to have a center of gravity within itself, then cranking those center-points up beyond normal, causing them to be pulled into themselves and be crushed from the inside out, killing the Hive instantly. How powerful was this Titan?

Garuud said nothing... Just stared at the Titan.

The Titan rose from his crouched position. The Ward of Dawn that encased his body dissipated, along with the Void energy that surged within his sword, returning the blade its deep silver color, and leaving the center of the blade hollow once more. His Ghost, Orion he called it, appeared a second later by his left shoulder. "Well, that was fun." It said. "Ha ha, you're very funny. C'mon, let's destroy this crystal and-" Suddenly, the center of the room exploded in a sudden rise of power, casting the room in a ghastly green color identical to the crystal hanging over the podium. The Titan had to bring his hand over his face to cover his eyes from the blinding light. When the light dimmed, he lowered his arm, and stared at the center of the room. A massive green vortex now swirled around the podium, and the crystal now began to pour its energy down to an ethereal figure that stood around twenty feet in he height. The figure resembled that of a Hive Knight, it's three eyes staring down at the Titan. Anaxis didn't have to guess to know who this being was that the Hive were summoning. Sarkon. The Titan drew a side arm from his waist with his free hand, aimed at the crystal, and fired. The round soared at incredible speed toward its mark, but did nothing as it was stopped by the raging vortex protecting the ritual. He fired several more shots, only to have same results each time. With a grunt, the Titan returned the weapon to its holster. He then brought his arm around in front of him, then jerked it back its side, a large flaming hammer appearing in his hand. He threw hammer after hammer at the crystal above, but like the rounds fired from his sidearm, they only seemed to dissolve against the protective barrier. "This thing is too strong!" Exclaimed the Titan's Ghost. "How are we going to get past that vortex?!" The Titan slowly glanced down at his sword, then looked up at the ritual before them all. "The only thing we can do." He said. His Ghost looked over at him and seemed to understand what it's Guardian meant. "No! You don't know what will happen!" "It's the only thing strong enough that can pierce that vortex! We don't have any other choice!" The Ghost only stared at his Guardian, obviously fearful at what he was talking about. But after what seemed like an eternity, it spoke with a voice filled with sorrow. "It's been an honor to be at your side, Magnus." What?! "You too, Orion." Then the Ghost vanished from existence. The Titan then looked down at his sword, gripping its hilt tighter. Then his arm began to glow. It started off as just a faint shimmer, but as the seconds went by, his arm grew brighter and brighter, giving off a faint white light. The crystal within his sword seemed to respond to this, as it too began to dimly shine the same white color, along with a small white orb that formed at the center of the hollow blade. Anaxis couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was channeling his own Light! "C'mon, C'mon!" Cursed the Titan under his breath, struggling to gather more of his Light. That was when a loud laugh echoed throughout the chamber. The Titan looked up from his work to see what was happening with the ritual. The ethereal form, was now almost a complete solid figure, as evidence to the dense black armor that could be seen through the vortex. "There is no Light, that can stand against the Darkness! This place will become your tomb!" But the Titan never ceased, he continued to channel his growing power, his arm and sword glowing brighter and brighter. Then a what sounded like a loud chime filled the room. The Titan's arm had become a pure white light, the sword's crystal glowing bright, and the energy that was too weak to sustain before, now filled the hollow blade with the same energy, making the edges shine a brilliant golden light. He had done it. The Titan then stared at the crystal, bringing his sword to bear, aligning the tip the bright golden blade with the large crystal. The sword grew bright once more, then unleashed a beam of of pure Light at the crystal. The beam struck the vortex, cutting through the powerful ward and hit the crystal at its center. The sound of cracking glass sounded, followed by an ear piercing screech as the crystal glowed a blinding light, then went supernova, sending out a ring of Light and Darkness throughout the room. The chain that held the crystal high in the air, broke, sending the now broken shard crashing to the ground. The explosion swept the Titan off his feet and sent him flying into the wall behind him, the impact leaving an array of large cracks in the stone, before the Titan slid to the ground in a heap. Then the room fell silent. Sarkon, who had now fully entered the world, was crouched down, clutching his chest with a scaly claw, over his armor that had now changed from pitch black, to a dull gray, and the Titan, who was now beginning to recover and regain his bearings. The Titan's hand, now returned to normal brushed over the hilt of his sword that laid upon the ground, lifeless with no power, and instinctively gripped hold of it. But he looked down at it, before releasing his hold of it. He raised his free hand into the air in front of him, slowly uncurling his fingers to form an open hand. He was trying to summon his Ghost. But it never came. "Orion... Orion!" Shouted the Titan, fear leaking into his voice. He called it's name over and over and over. But each time, his calls were left unanswered. "No." His breathing trembled, grief practically washing over him. His head shot up however as portals began to appear all around the podium, spawning large groups of Hive at each one. The massive Knight stood up, and looked down at the fallen Guardian, anger and blood-lust filling its eyes. It jabbed a finger at him. "Kill that wretched Light, NOW!" it boomed. Upon their god's command, they charged. The Titan scrambled to his feet, hissing in pain at the sudden movements. Fire engulfed his entire body, as a Hammer of Sol appeared in his hand. However, as soon as it came, it vanished, the flames surrounding him, smothered as it was instantly replaced with black shadows and corrosion that covered his torso and right arm. The Titan howled in pain as the dark essence threatened to consume him. With the Hive quickly advancing, he stumbled toward the exit, drawing his sidearm as he went, and fired into the oncoming wall of death. He then retreated through the exit, waves of Thrall following close behind. All that was heard was the occasional gunshot and the continuous chorus of death. Then everything stilled and vanished, as the room returned to its dark, silent, ruined form. Anaxis could only stare at the exit, long banished memories coming to the forefront of his mind. He knew who this was. A long buried secret. But now, it wouldn't take long for his companions, specifically Alice, to piece together that secret he had buried so long ago.
-
Alice stepped away from the crystal, and over to the broken hilt that lay on the ground. She picked it up, observing the hilt. "I knew something was strange about Grixis, why it was no one helped him. I now I know why." She turned and looked at Anaxis. "I'm sorry." Was all she said to him.
-
"Don't be." He responded. "My best friend died here, all those centuries ago. And when he did, Grixis stepped in to take his place." He looked over at her. "Whatever was left of Magnus is gone. He has to die, there's no other choice."
-
"But that doesn't make the hurt any less, does it?" As she says this, she walks over to Anaxis and offers the broken hilt out to him.
-
The hurt? He had been horrified when the news of Magnus turning over to the Darkness reached him. He didn't want to believe it at first. But then he went out to where he was last seen in a village outside The City, and when he got there, his worst nightmare was all too real. Everyone in village laid dead in the streets, everything burned, and on the center of it all, was a collection of Hive from Thrall to Knights, and in the center stood him, inside his new armor wielding a Hive cleaver. He knew then and there that his friend was gone. The monster that he had become was the only thing that was left. Did it hurt? Yes. But he knew what he had to do. He would have thrown in the towel if he knew he couldn't do what had to be done. There was no other choice. It was either Grixis, or them. He broke his line of thought when he noticed the sword that Magnus wielded was held out to him. The blade, like it had been before, had no fuller, only to be filled up with the energy of the element he wielded, so it was only the deep silver edges. The hilt had the most damage, one end of the cross guard had a deep gash in it, almost going all the way through, while the other side had been completely cut off. And the once beautiful, shining crystal that held the swords power, now sat in the hilt, completely dull, no shine whatsoever, with a large crack going down it. The color of the whole thing, had surprisingly kept its shine all these years in the dark. He looked back over at the exit, then let out a sigh. "Keep it." He said under his breath.
-
She looked at him for a moment, then pulled it back. She spun it lazily through the air, noting that how the blade itself didn't seem to be even the littlest bit dinted or dented. The hilt itself was a wreckage, but still quite usable at her swing. Even the crystal at the hilt (though still dull) seemed to be generating a faint bit of light at her touch. She rests it on her right shoulder and looks at Anaxis. "Wasn't there meant to be some form of darkness here that Sarkon uses? I mean, this crystal could be it, but if it was, wouldn't you have noticed it sooner?"
-
"Not just Darkness, but the Light as well." A voice echoed throughout the ruined chamber.
-
"Light? What do you mean by that Anaxis?" She says still looking at Anaxis.
-
Edited by Zalamiir: 1/9/2016 11:58:40 PMAnaxis had his auto rifle drawn, scanning the room for anything besides them. "I didn't say that." "I did." Said the voice from before. Movement caught his eye from above. He snapped his rifle to whatever it was, putting his finger on the trigger, ready to unleash a bullet storm. But he wasn't expecting to see what came floating down from the shadowed ceiling, and the sight unnerved him. Floating down, was the small, white shell of a Ghost, but what unnerved him about it was its eye. Instead of the cool blue diamond eye against a black background like almost all Ghosts, this ones diamond eye was pitch black against a wall of green that shimmered and danced like fire. "You're the disturbance." Anaxis said, keeping the Ghost in his weapon's reticule. "I am. It's good to see you again, Anaxis. Though I know you don't remember me, I never much liked to show myself. My name is Orion. Ghost of the Guardian Magnus. Or was, after that horrid day."
-
Edited by MegaBeast42: 1/10/2016 12:05:51 AM"You're still bound to him, aren't you?" Alice says walking closer to Orion, ignoring Anaxis's displeasure at her being so close to the Ghost.
-
Orion looked over at Alice. "I merely say that, due to my Guardian using a different name. But to answer your question; yes, I am. I feel what he feels, much like your unique friend, Emaria. But unlike her, I also see what he sees. And he doesn't even know that I'm still alive."
