If you were to throw a void wall grenade and it's first point of contact is the ground, the void wall will always form left and right of the direction it is thrown.
If the nade hits ANYTHING before hitting the ground, e.g: a guardians foot, the wall, another projectile etc.
It will bounce and spin thus creating an inconsistent "wall direction".
Hope this helps :) I'm also a fan of the void wall. I find it confuses people and they tend to die.
