Really lame and low skill IMO. just thorw smoke and vortex = guaranteed kills. especially off the revive
EDIT: Its the wombo Combo. I think kjhovey created it/named it
-
Whoever that was stole that combo name from smash and combos are nooby ? Do you even play video games guy ?
-
Yes,because throwing 2 abilities you are freely given is no skill.
-
And it was "created" by one of the best players in the world

How about more like 25,000+ Destiny players (including myself) realized it when they put 2+2 together after unlocking the class the first day of TTK. Dumbest thing I've read in a while.
How about Combustion+Keyhole+Over the Horizon? I'll call it "Come-bust-a-hole!" and none of you noobs better copy my set-up without giving me 100% credit!
If it works, it works.
-
I think someone in kjHovey or the Managator's twitch chat coined the name.
-
You're also using both your grenade and melee charges. Any grenade/melee combo will kill.
-
It's a combo same as a shotgun/melee combo, if u can't kill someone with a shotgun (which is incredibly easy to do) then Melee and guaranteed kill, specially in warlocks, u can literally shoot your shotgun from far away do a small amount of damage and finish someone off with that 3 mile melee reach
-
A smoke grenade melee is stupid altogether "What if we made a melee ANOTHER grenade?" Best idea ever I guess
-
Lumi and posh were the people I saw use it early in ttk in pvp. I don't think either "invented" anything. A grenade doing lots of dps, and a grenade that prevents you from leaving an area and does dmg. Pretty straight forward idea. You don't see it alot because for some reason people are still focused on invis. Invis smoke was cool for drifter, but envenomed is still buff on that map. It's good. Nightstalker is one of the best classes in neutral, and has two grenades without a giant focus on the super. It's a unique class. One of the only ones where 100% disc/str can be found. Shade step disjointing grenade tracking is a bit much imo.
-
Void wall is better btw, perfect for corner campers and better area control
-
Still a kill
-
Iv got to admit I use that combo a lot but who's the noob the person doing it? Or the person that can't use there left stick?
-
Edited by Rite2RemainSilent: 1/7/2016 12:01:13 AMHonestly, I feel like good players have been using the vortex Grenade during Trials ever since the first time Cauldron was the trials map back in HOW as a way to prevent revives; it's smart, effective, and not at all cheap in my opinion
-
Getting kills is honestly nooby too.
-
Why is it low skill and cheesy? Because it's effective? Because it works? Look... I know you probably didn't consider this, but when the concept of the game your playing has a competitive (as in PvP, not mlg. you tryhards can rub one out of your over inflated sense of self worth on another person) side, and that side consists entirely of killing other characters played by other people, the point here isn't to be fair, it's to kill somebody, either efficiently or inefficiently, without regard to the fairness of the situation. If it was, indeed, fair, there would be a lot more trades and people would see you coming from a mile out no matter what you did, but since we're in the business of playing a game, and we go to the game mode that's designed to make you kill other players, you then lose all fairness, anyway. People complain about anything and everything. Smoke/vortex combo? Too bad. Shouldn't have stood still while it killed you. Here's a pro-tip; KEEP MOVING.
-
I always tried to find an enemy Titan Bubble and throw a vortex grenade inside to see if it makes any difference. Failed everytime I touch it. Sometimes with a surprise Shadowshot cuz the leaping part to carry my momentum over inside xD So far Stormtrance Landfall perk still goes thru a Titan Bubble like with the time with Arc Blade Razors Edge perk xD
-
Well, it's dumb to use two grenades to get one kill anyway.
-
Not half as noobish as the warlock rocket grenade
-
I use it and will admit it is pretty easy to use but at least it's not op because it takes both melee and grenade charges
-
It's only nooby if they thought they were casting their super and screwed the pooch
-
Right, and 20 feet Lightning melee isn't.
-
Nerf fall damage! It kills me all the time. OP! OP! What?! I threw my lighting grenade at the wall in front of me and died to it? Nerf lighting grenade! It is too OP! Help I ran off the edge like a moron and died. Nerf Misadventure!
-
Im sure WTFisPoshy has something to say about this..
-
Did only give the OP a Butthurt Incident Form to fill out?
-
It's official, anything that kills scrubs is a pu$$y move...
