[b]Damien rubs his neck and winces. He looks around once more.[/b] [i]"You sure are one for friends. Impressive group."[/i]

"It's mostly Kara's family. You and Sawyer are the only ones who showed up for me."

[b]Damien blinks.[/b] [i]"I invited Anumi and another 'friend' of mine... We will see if they show."[/i]

"I'm interested to see who this friend is."

[i]"She used to date Joseph... An old buddy of mine. She's a bit... Well, you'll see."[/i]

"Okay. I guess we wait, then:"

[b]Eventually Anumi enters. She is in her typical get-up. She's followed by a bright red-haired woman in a revealing dress. Damien gives an annoyed sigh.[/b] [i]"That's Mallana... Don't let her get close."[/i]

"I wasn't planning on letting anyone close, so I should be good."

[b]Damien chuckles. The two walk up. Anumi wears a gentle smile but the red-haired woman frowns.[/b] [i]"Dearest Anni... I need a drink... Help me find one."[/i] [b]Anumi sighs and waves to Riardriar. She leads the woman to the champagne.[/b] [i]"I don't understand females."[/i]

[i]"Well, I'll stay longer... But I have things to attend to later. Once again, congratulations."[/i] [b]He slinks into a shadowed corner and leans against the wall, avoiding others. Anumi walks up, free from her friend.[/b] [i][u]"Heya... How you handling the whole marriage thing?"[/u][/i]

"I love it. I've loved Kara for so long, it only makes sense that we get married now."
