We've always had to exit the safety of our bubbles to shoot our enemies, or wait for them to try to kill us from inside. But what if we didn't have to, how would that affect the game?
Edit: Suggestions say that there should be an Exotic armor/weapon that has this ability exclusively. Nice.
Also considerable: Switch that with being unseen from outside the bubble. It'd be harder to kill the Defender if you try to rush them.

How about an exotic Armor that makes it so no ammo is used when in the bubble. Would allow you to spam Shotgun or sword without fear while inside your super. Also means they may rework Immobius to make it, well, useful.
-
An exotic allowing all Void projectiles to pass through would be cool
-
I think this is a good idea. BUT, it should really be a perk on exotic armor, therefore you couldn't use the helm of Saint 14 and destroy anyone rushing you.
-
That's op so no
-
I always thought it would be badass if the bubble offered Invisibility. As in, when you are in the bubble you are completely and utterly invisible to enemies. Why this is good? People would have to guess whether or not to use their super on your bubble as in it could just be a decoy. Once an enemy enters the bubble the invisibility would be lost but this would still give the titan the first shot in the bubble (Unless rocking Helm St-14).
-
I like your second idea.
-
It would be OP especially when coupled with perks and skills that extend Ward duration or orb production. What Defenders need are more weapons like Immobius that provide bonuses to damage or regen ammo when used inside of the Ward or an exotic armor piece similar to the Immoliation Fists that give Defenders use of a free perk.
-
It has been done .... Vanilla hard light (before fix) could do this
-
Exotic weapon/armor the best way to go with this one.... Fabian strategy should have had this on it... Or a shotgun, some short range weapon.
-
If we could shoot outside our bubble blessing and weapons of light would be obsolete... saint 14 helm would be obsolete and it would be the most over powered super in the game. You are literally saying that for the next 2 minutes no one can come near you cuz you can kill them and your invulnerable
-
Man, forums would crash...
-
It would make it an insane super in pvp if it was in high traffic areas
-
That would be game breaking in Control.
-
It would be OP as -blam!-. No way.
-
-blam!- that and -blam!- you don't ever think of that lmao
-
Weapons + sniper = one shot body kills
-
Edited by Swiftlock: 1/4/2016 4:13:48 AMPvE becomes laughably easy and PvP is broken even further since players can fire Golden Gun/Heavies from inside bubbles. That doesn't sound very fun at all. No thanks.
-
Then you'd be "offenders"? It's a defensive sub-class. The other two are offense.
-
pve yes pvp no but the pve players never cry nerf sooooo....?
-
That would be a broken mechanic, in all honesty.
-
The sly guy: Titan exotic helmet 1st perks: increase discipline or increase strength. 2nd perk: inverse shadow or infusion Exotic perk: hiding with light: Grants you invisibility while crouched with armour of light, blessing of light or weapons of light active.
-
bad idea, imagine snipers inside the bubble whom you couldn't hit on the outside!
-
TBH. .. I always thought that the bubble should have had a suppression effect. So that enemy players couldn't activate their supers inside the bubble and their supers was shut down if they entered.
-
Too op. How about instead of that, allow an early detonation causing aoe dmg. Then you have a choice whether to detonate early if being charged or wait it out and go for a gun kill when an enemy enters. Enemies can try to fake you out and make you detonate early.
-
Defenders are annoying enough in crucible and giving them the ability to SHOOT through their bubbles would just be broken. But it would be pretty cool not gonna lie. Maybe to balance it, it'll only work if you have your grenade an melee charged and shooting thought your bubble will deplete it?

A while back I made a post about a potential exotic armor piece which enabled defenders to shoot through their bubbles. Was told by the majority that it would be super op, which I didn't agree with, but whatever. :P
