We've always had to exit the safety of our bubbles to shoot our enemies, or wait for them to try to kill us from inside. But what if we didn't have to, how would that affect the game?
Edit: Suggestions say that there should be an Exotic armor/weapon that has this ability exclusively. Nice.
Also considerable: Switch that with being unseen from outside the bubble. It'd be harder to kill the Defender if you try to rush them.
-
Or say something that would give any weapon you fire extra void damage off the bubble whether it be primary or any other weapon it would be a mixture of the two elements void and arc etc. Weapons that already had Void the damage would be simply multiplied.
-
Would be pretty op, at least in PvP
-
Would be a little op honestly, amazing for control. Would actually make it viable in pvp.... Pve however, yeah that would be OP
-
so,basically what you want is frost snow globe without the cold proc?
-
How about we let it happen but make it 75% reduced damage
-
I like it how people are saying "hunters would cry nerf." So your telling me someone can one hit body shot you from across the map with a sniper while they are invincible.. Is not op
-
I wouldn't mind if it became a roaming super with maybe reduced absorb or movement speed etc. People will only ask for a nerf though so meh =/
-
At most it should probably allow primary weapons to fire through it from the inside. It should start fading in color as it gets weaker and when it reaches a certain color you should be able to fire from the inside.
-
That would be ridiculously OP to be honest. I think something that would be awesome is if the inside of the Ward of Dawn was like a vortex grenade to the enemies. It should drain their life if they go into your Ward of Dawn.
-
Invisible in the bubble lol. Tears lol
-
Everyone would main a Titan with Saint-14 that's exactly what would happen
-
Hunters would scream nerf. To be fair it would essentially extend the range of the super too far. An entire area would be a kill zone instead of the bubble itself.
-
Screw shooting from inside the bubble, I still want the Glowing Purple Hamsterball of OPness, aka: Mobile Ward of Dawn that damages enemies on contact. Could replace Armor of Light, forcing a Defender to remain inside their bubble, but allowing them to run and jump around for a limited time, crushing foes in a nigh-unbreakable Magic 8-Ball. Bubble would still be REKT by enemy Supers, but screw that because...HAMSTERBALL OF DEATH!!!
-
-
Or maybe an exotic armour piece could let you do that
-
Defender Titans were designed to have their bubbles move with them as they ran through a map (video footage confirms this. Don't have the exact link though). I think that bungie should reinstate this concept.
-
1000 yard stare and weapons of light would make it op
-
Although this would be very fun, it would be extremely overpowered seeing as though armor of light makes you tanky af when you are inside your bubble
-
Because that would be ridiculous. WoL with a high impact sniper sitting in a bubble blasting away people before they have a chance
-
It would be badass! But then the nerf babies will burn the forums down. And itd probably be on the OP side lol
-
I use a sniper rifle just sticking outside the bubble to shoot. If i get hit i back up and wave.
-
Edited by SmashvilleViking: 1/4/2016 1:40:12 AMIt wouldn't be support anymore. Not saying it wouldn't happen. But, I don't see Bungie doing it. If they did, these forums would go nuts. People would be saying that Shadowshot should kill anyone it tethers. And self-rez should launch grenades when activated.
-
Weapons of light would turn a sniper into a GG who is immortal and has lot of ammo. This has been suggested plenty of times in year 1, but it's just too OP.
-
If so they would need a huge damage decrease, because you know there would be that sniper that pops a bubble in a corridor and gets kills quick, love the idea though!! :D
-
I always thought it would be cool if Fabian strategy had a perk that would allow firing threw your word of dawn. Perk only on one gun lack luster gun at that and exotic spot taken so I believe it's a decent trade off.

Edited by Sideflop: 1/4/2016 1:40:02 AMI think that would take away from being a defender. Set up your shots before you step out. Defenders are fine the way they are. So stop this nonsense before hunters catch on.
